As Ciara continues to wow audiences across America on the critically acclaimed ‘Beauty Marks’ tour in support of her seventh studio album of the same name (click here for dates), she was wowed by a surprise guest appearance from her former producer, Jazze Pha.

Longtime fans of the songstress know Pha (born Phalon Alexander) was instrumental in her early years, crafting a number of the hits found aboard her debut LP, ‘Goodies,’ and even launching the effort via his imprint Sho’Nuff Records.  Although the dissolution of their professional relationship led to Alexander turning to legal action against the diva (click here to read more), she’s spoken glowingly of him in interviews since the fallout.

If ever proof was needed the hatchet was buried between the two it was served Thursday night (September 26) when Ciara performed in her hometown of Atlanta and was surprised by the producer at the show’s end.  See the heartwarming reunion inside:

As of time reported there are only 31 songs in history privy to the honor of Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and now Drake‘s colossal 2018 hit, ‘God’s Plan,’ is one of them.

The Boi-1da produced cut, which served as the lead single from Drizzy’s blockbuster ‘Scorpion’ album, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 at the top of last year and stayed there for a total of 11 weeks.  Leading its parent album to similar wins on the Billboard 200 at the height of their respective successes, ‘Plan’ added another historic achievement to its list of chart and digital domination this week when it became the latest tune to pass the 10x platinum threshold with the RIAA.

In 2006 (in Youtube’s infancy), one hit wonders Webstar and Young B almost cracked the Hot 100’s top 40 thanks to the viral dance craze associated with their tune, ‘Chicken Noodle Soup.’

Now, thanks to a reboot of sorts courtesy of BTS star j-Hope and singer Becky G, the song is poised to exceed its previous #45 peak.  Borrowing the cut’s chorus for their multilingual edition of ‘Chicken Noodle,’ Hope and G’s version – which features English, Korean, and Spanish lyrics – is a celebration of dance and embracing one’s heritage.  And, if its reign on iTunes and Youtube charts is anything to judge by, that celebration is one that’s resonating in a big way with listeners across the U.S.
