Though already deep into putting the finishing touches on her long-awaited new album (due this year), Grammy-winning singer Ashanti is still making moves across the board by lending her signature sound to other artists’ projects.  The latest to be graced with the 38-year-old’s charming coo is Soca superstar Machel Montano.

The cut, titled ‘The Road,’ was co-written by Ashanti, Montano, Jovan James and producer Travis World.  Featured on his forthcoming album, Montano says the tune was originally intended for Rihanna but the Murder Inc. songstress won the part.  The result?  ‘Road’ rose to #1 on iTunes reggae charts just a day after its release.

Now, ahead of the release of its official music video, its lyric video can be found inside:

Chris Brown‘s giving the gift of previously unreleased music to patient fans who’ve long-awaited a full listen of the tune, ‘Who Dis’?

Though it follows ‘Undecided’ – the first official single from his forthcoming album, ‘Indigo’ – it is not immediately clear if the cut will be included on the new album.  What is clear is the song, which has been teased by Brown for years, is finally available for a full listen and #TeamBreezy couldn’t be more pleased.

As we await the final product of the ‘Back 2 Love’ visual he recently shot in Paris (despite an arrest for rape allegations as we reported here), look inside and let ‘Who Dis’ tide you over:

From ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to award shows and her own private concerts, Tinashe’s proven time and time again that the stage is like a second home to her.  That point may have seen its strongest reiteration Sunday night (January 27th) when the pop star took to FOX’s ‘Rent: Live!’ to belt out the songs of ‘Mimi‘ (the character she portrays in the production).

Seemingly a girl gone wild as she rocked a sexy leather black top with sparkly blue booty shorts, fishnet stockings, and knee-high leopard-print boots, the 25-year-old got cheers from live audience members and Twitter users alike as she rocked out to the cuts ‘Out Tonight’ and more.

Did you miss any of the action? It awaits inside:

Vocal bible Brandy had been all set to take to the stage at the Kennedy Center yesterday, following months of anticipation. However, illness struck and forced the songbird to cancel the hotly anticipated shows – which had been billed as her most ambitious in years.

Beyond issuing a heartfelt (and hard-hitting) statement about the matter, B-Rocka also – perhaps as a consolation to supporters – shared a rehearsal clip of a new song that was to feature in her set named ‘Meant To Be.’

While the concert sadly wasn’t, it at least provides insights into the music the 39-year-old has been working on for her first body of work since 2012’s ‘Two Eleven.’

Check it out below, where Brandy’s statement also awaits…

When R&B songstress Tweet burst onto the scene this month 17 years ago with her now signature hit, ‘Oops (Oh My),’ many assumed she was an overnight success.  That assumption, as she recently detailed in BET’s hit web series, ‘Finding BET,’ couldn’t be further from the truth.

Between years of working with the group Sugah before it disbanded to doing background vocals for Missy Elliott and other artists before her breakthrough, Tweet’s (born Charlene Keys) rise to fame was far from swift.  That point made the velocity of her fall from the public eye that much more surprising.

Ever the eternal optimist, Keys recently took to BET to dish on life post the success of her debut album, ‘Southern Hummingbird,’ which included a battle with depression, alcohol abuse, and more before she re-emerged with 2016’s ‘Charlene.’  Also thrilling with news of the set’s soon-to-come follow-up project, look inside to hear the 48-year-old talk on this and more:
