Diddy-Dirty Money recently found a way to combine forcing their ‘Last Train To Paris’ album down people’s throats and doing something good. The trio performed their new song, ‘Coming Home’, at WWE’s ‘Tribute To The Troops’, mixing promotion with charity.
That Grape Juice fans JLS have revealed the cover for their latest single ‘Eyes Wide Shut’. The Pop divas are set to release the Tinie Tempah assisted track, the 3rd to be lifted from their ‘Outta This World’ LP, on February 13th.

‘Golden’ by Jill Scott is this week’s From The Vault selection. The song was released as the 1st single from Scott’s 3rd album, ‘Beautifully Human: Words & Sounds Vol. 2′, in 2004.
Although the record only peaked at #110 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #31 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, it has gathered a strong following in the years after its initial release. In fact, because of the inspirational message boasted by the lyrics, Scott is often asked to perform this song on many occasions, with many regarding it as her signature tune.
This is what music is all about – inspiring people and invoking emotions. ‘Golden’is an amazing song that was performed by an amazing singer. Great stuff!
Many people think that beefs only occur in Hip-Hop (not including the Christina Aguilera’s countless feuds across various genres). However, Pop divas have been known for their battles in the media as well.
One such example is the infamous clash between Mariah Carey and Madonna. Following an almost identical script to the current quarrel between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim, the duo engaged in a rather public feud in 1995 when Madonna felt threatened by Carey’s meteoric rise to success as her own career had begun to slump.
The way that Carey handled that situation is a shining example of proper media training. Not only did she shut Madonna down just like Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson did after being attacked by the ‘Vogue’ singer themselves, she did it while keeping things classy. Fatality.
R&B star Chris Brown raised the roof at the 2010 Wildjam festival in California earlier this week. Performing a set consisting of some of his biggest hits (including ‘Run It’, ‘With You’ and ‘Take You Down’), the singer also turned in renditions of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’ and Willow Smith’s ‘Whip My Hair’.
While I was somewhat baffled at the merging of Brown’s safe/Pop past with his racier present on the set-list (performed in between the above-listed songs were the likes of ‘No BS’ and ‘I Invented Head’), one can’t deny Brown’s ability to work a stage. Just can’t.
Here is Mariah Carey’s 2nd performance at ‘Christmas In Washington’. Alongside a large choir, the vocal titan delivered a stunning rendition of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ for the US President and his family. Look below for the footage:
A new song from Keri Hilson and Chris Brown surfaced today. The sensual ‘One Night Stand’ will appear on Hilson’s new album, ‘No Boys Allowed’, which hits stores on December 21st. Listen to the record below:
