Much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.  So in a quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday we introduced a new retrospective segment – ‘TGJ Replay’.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits.  Take a voyage in time to Grammy-winner India Arie‘s modern classic ‘Voyage To India’ below:

Just when we thought we’d seen it all.

If you’re like us and thought you’d seen Rap Royal Nicki Minaj at her steamiest, perhaps it’s high time you think again.

Indeed, in what will no doubt leave many a fan gagging for a live performance of the number, the MC took her brand of sexy to French Montana‘s ‘Freaks‘ video, now ready to be enjoyed below.

Lifted from the MC’s forthcoming album, ‘Excuse My French’, the video is so good we’ve spun it about six or seven times since it hit the net.

Behold the sight that is Rap Queen, Lil Kim.

Sporting a ‘unique’ look during a night out in New York city, the trendsetter was snapped looking a far cry from the MC the world met on ‘Hardcore’ debut in 1996- thanks to what is clearly a case of cosmetic surgery taken too far.

Pictured as she continues work on her long awaited new album, the Grammy winning lyricist was spotted days after continuing her efforts to push Rap’s latest offerring, Tiffany Foxx.

More importantly, her sighting comes after she took to ‘Rap Fix’ to dish on her aforementioned new LP, which she has enlisted ‘Did It On ‘Em’ producer Bangladesh to oversee.

Congratulations are most certainly in order for Bruno Mars. The soulful Pop crooner saw his sophomore album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ rocket to the top of the Billboard 200 this week, becoming his first chart topper on the coveted tally.

Yet, given that the album has been on sale for three months and Mars is presently preparing for a tour in support of it, many are scratching their heads as to what caused the sales spike.

Wonder no more, as the answer awaits after the jump…

Drake brings the heat on a scorching new cut, ‘5AM In Toronto’- set to ruffle many a Hip Hop feather by way of its fiery (but accurate) lyric.

Released to whip up momentum for his forthcoming album ‘Nothing Was The Same‘, there’s no denying that the piece sees the Grammy winner at his very best.

Well, it looks like Destiny’s Children are truly ready for their individual takeover.  For, just days after DC3 alum Michelle Williams announced her forthcoming reality show, original group member Latavia Roberson announces plans to bring her ‘reality‘ to television screens.

‘Something New’ co-stars Blair Underwood and Sanaa Lathan are indeed preparing something new for moviegoers in the form of a revamped spin of Shakesperean classic ‘Macbeth’.

Titled ‘MacBett’, the film, also starring and co-produced by Academy Award-nominee Terrence Howard, is said to begin production and September with director Aleta Chappelle at the helm.

‘Party Up (Up In Here)’ rapper DMX is believed to be on the path toward getting his life back on the up-and-up after a lengthy jail stint followed by a reported drug addiction.  Such reports seem substantiated by interesting comments and erratic behavior from the once top-selling rapper – as evidenced by his visit to OWN’s ‘Iyanla:  Fix My Life‘.

See the trailer to the channel’s ‘fix-a-celebrity’ show which is set to premiere its second season April 13th.

Fantasia certainly seems to be onto a winner with the visual to her latest single ‘Lose To Win’ – the first from her fourth album ‘Side Effects of You’.  And, with fans flocking to the follow-up tune ‘If I Was A Bird’, it appears buzz for the project is bubbling.

In an attempt to bring that bubble to a boil, the ‘When I See You’ songstress was seen on the promo trail recently – bringing a rousing live rendition of ‘Lose’ to the ‘Centric Happy Hour Tour’.
