Mariah Carey may not want to deem her new E! series a “reality show,” but her real life is certainly playing out like one. Dramatic twists and turns included.

One corner of her life where this is especially apparent is romance. As widely reported, the 46-year-old’s engagement to billionaire James Packer ended in explosive fashion last month.

One of the reasons touted in some reports was Packer’s allegedly disdain for Mimi’s intimate interaction with dancer Bryan Tanaka.

In the time since, Carey – who claims to be all about music and not mess – has been spotted parading up and about with Tanaka. Notably at paparazzi prone restaurants and at her Halloween Party.

Still, no official word has been given on their status (or lack-there-of).

The diva did, however, dish on Tanaka (and her recent split) in a sit-down with Entertainment Tonight to promote ‘Mariah’s World.’

Find out what she had to say about both topics below…

Hoping to steal Bruno Mars‘ magical thunder this week is The Weeknd and his new LP ‘Starboy.’

Inspired by the stylings of Michael Jackson, the set hit retailers today and, much to the delight of swelling fan base, is now available to stream right here on TGJ!

How he described it?

The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.

Will you agree?

Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, just as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’ allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

For this one we’ll press replay on ‘No One’ – the 2007 #1 hit from Grammy-winning songbird Alicia Keys.  The first single from her third studio album, ‘As I Am,’ by late November that year the tune had already helped hoist its parent project to historic heights on the Billboard 200 (best first week sales for any female R&B singer).  However, this week 9 years ago it saw its own ascension to #1 after booting Chris Brown‘s ‘Kiss Kiss’ out of the top spot this week in 2007.  Going on to earn ‘Best R&B Song’ honors at the next year’s Grammys, “No One” entered history books as the most listened to song on U.S. radio in 2008 and, as of time reported, hovers just over the 4x platinum mark.

Tuck in below to find out who joined Keys in the top 25 this week in 2007:
