When hitting the promo rounds for new album ‘DS2,’ rapper Future used the opportunity to voice his displeasure with former fiance Ciara for allowing new boyfriend Russell Wilson around their 1-year-old son Future Zahir.
It’s little surprise, then, that the topic has once again become a hot talking point after fresh snaps of the singer, baby Future, and NFL player hit the net over the weekend.
With the world talking, T.I. has chimed in with his take on the matter.
Save for a ‘Fancy’ foe, Nicki Minaj has ultimately ruled the world of modern female Rap unchallenged.
Could that be set to change, though, with the mainstream arrival of UK femcee Lady Leshurr?
The lyricist has been steadily building buzz for years on the underground circuit and finally looks set to blow after her ‘Queen of the Scene’ series has gone viral.
Last night saw the latest instalment (‘Queen of the Scene 4’) unleashed and, thanks to a US share on Facebook, has been watched over 9 million times already.
We’ve had this on replay here at TGJ all day and for good reason. In a world that has become a global village by way of the internet, Leshurr smartly taps into Pop culture’s hottest topics in a manner that is digestable to all. Indeed, we weren’t expecting to hear the likes of Rachel Dolezal and Bruce Jenner, but their inclusion re-affirmed how spot-on this Birmingham bred beauty is with today’s audience.
Could major (label) success be on the cards? Based on the buzz and the talent generating it, we sure hope so!

The countdown is on to the kick off The X Factor UK 2015.
This year, the hit ITV show welcomes Pop star Rita Ora to the panel, which is rounded out by fellow chart-winner Cheryl Fernandez Versini, BBC radio’s Nick Grimshaw, and creator Simon Cowell.
To whet appetites ahead of the show’s premiere later this month, the network have unveiled a “top secret” themed commercial starring the cast.
The rapper’s purchase comes as he continues to build jams for his new album ‘Views From the 6′ and after he learned that his Cash Money boss Birdman had been accused of trying to murder his Young Money executive Lil Wayne.
If today Fifth Harmony and Little Mix are waving the flag for girl bands, 15 years ago the scene was occupied by the likes of Destiny’s Child, TLC and then newcomers 3LW.
This week’s From The Vault selection comes courtesy of the young R&B trio and their 2000 hit ‘No More.’ 3LW – short for ‘3 Little Women’ – consisted of Kiely Willams, Naturi Naughton and Adrienne Bailon.
Very much their breakout hit, ‘No More’ was produced by Sean ‘Sep’ Hall and penned by Nate Butler and Cameron Giles, and provided the band with their sole top 30 on the Billboard Hot (hitting#23) and UK Top 10.
For the video, the girls turned to Chris Robinson who blessed them with a fresh summery visual, which sees band members Adrienne and Naturi supporting Kiely who just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her. Bummer!
Like every solid Pop video at the time, the clip comes armed with energetic choreography and an MTV dance-break.

From our vantage point, the industry could benefit from more girl groups – of every genre. Through the years we’ve seen how impactful females coming together can bet and if the 60’s had The Supremes, the 90’s TLC and the Spice Girls and the 00’s had Destiny’s Child, we are yet to have defining female ensemble for the 10’s. Hopefully it is more a case of “not yet” than “not at all”.
OutKast member Andre 3000 has maintained a silence of sorts on the music front. However, it has just been announced that he will join Season 2 of ABC’s hit series ‘American Crime’ staring Regina Bell.
Two years on, the vibrations from Beyonce‘s digital drop continue to be felt across the music industry.
Yet, beyond the surprise project’s game-changing impact, the self-titled LP also signified a marked change in the singer’s approach to the release of her new material.
Put simply, Queen Bey has embraced the element of surprise and has – even with her features – implemented a silence until serving system.
Still, this hasn’t stopped morsels of information from dripping its way onto the ‘net. The latest of which suggests a new Beyonce video is due soon.
‘America’s Next Top Model’ maker Tyra Banks and Oprah Winfrey are reportedly being eyed by NBC to replace 2016 Presidential candidate Donald Trump on the hit show ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’
The ‘Vestival’ event was graced by Chris Brown‘s presence hours ago, treating its attendees to a performance of the hit song ‘Post To Be.’
Brown was joined by the jam’s lead act Omarion who rocked the event’s stage as he continues to shoot scenes for the forthcoming season of VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.’
