Is Azealia Banks baking new mainstream material?

That’s the question on the lips of fans after the eclectic femcee was photoed posing it up with hit vendor Dr. Luke (centre) last night.

It’s not known what the ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ rapper was recording, but producers Rock City (also pictured) shared the shot with the caption:

Given Banks’ vocal stance on the Pop-ier lean of some of her contemporaries, her pairing with Luke and co does make for an interesting development.

That said, we’re all for it. Because while we appreciate the uniqueness of her talent, we’re realists about the fact that hits facilitate longevity and hits require structure – something Azealia’s music often lacks.

Dawn Richard is speaking up and out.

Since Danity Kane‘s latest break-up, the group’s central figure has maintained a level of silence about the Tekken-style punch she delivered to Aubrey O’Day which ultimately T.K.O’d the group.

However, with new album ‘Blackheart’ now in stores, the singer finally broke her silence on the matter in a fresh interview with Sway on Shade 45 today.

The 31-year-old also addressed on the plastic surgery rumors which have plagued her in recent years.

Madonna is mopping up the muckiness of her ‘Rebel Heart’ album roll-out.

The Pop icon, who is confirmed to be performing at next month’s Grammy’s in support of the set, has revealed the LP’s tracklist ahead of its March 10th arrival.

As widely reported, the project has been marred by a multitude of leaks, the most notable leading to the early release of six songs in December.

Having enlisted the likes of Diplo, Kanye West, and Nas to contribute to the set, can her Madgesty bounce back with ‘Living For Love’ led LP? Time will tell.

A backing dancer for Pop superstar Beyonce was attacked in Las Vegas last night, punched in the face during a dance-off at the ‘Revolution Lounge.’

The incident was caught on camera and sees the professional mover attacked by a rival dancer who is said to have been taunted by him.

TLC‘s status as one of the greatest girl-groups of all-time is undeniable.

However, disaster, dodgy decisions, and dodgier business deals have plagued the trio from their debut right up until today.

It’s an unfortunate trajectory for a Grammy winning ensemble, yet one that continues to be the reality of TLC.

Because, in a shocking move, today has seen surviving members Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas launch a Kickstarter campaign which asks fans to help them fund the recording of their final album.

Miguel is coming!

The soulful crooner has spent much of the last year piecing together his new project and, per his latest Instagram post, it’s almost ready.

Reportedly due imminently, the album – which succeeds 2012’s ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ – also follows last Fall’s free EP ‘nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee’.

Speaking on the process of wrapping up production, the 29-year-old said:

last touch ups to the album before it goes off for mixing. For all the vocalists out there I highly recommend becoming self sufficient in the studio. Started recording myself when i was about 13, i stole my uncles 4-track recorder… never looked back. Saves so much time and frustration.. Not to mention money 😉

While we do wonder if the singer has waited too long to build on the buzz of ‘Adorn’, we are eager to see what he’s been baking in the studio. Are you?
