Grammy winning gospel rapper Lecrae saw his name etched in history books today as he became the first gospel act to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with his new album ‘Anomaly.’  Aptly titled for, in addition, he’s the first gospel act to see his name at #1 on the Billboard 200 & Gospel charts simultaneously.

The feat is all the more impressive when one considers that he has never had a single charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

With nearly 90k registered in sales for the week, Lecrae leads a cast of new entries who have made quite the impression on the albums chart.  The week’s most anticipated debut, coming from longtime underground R&B soulstress Jhene Aiko, trails the rapper with an impressive debut of her own.  See the full chart check below and find out where she landed:

Shortly after Cycle 21 contestant Romeo Tostado was eliminated for head butting a fellow model weeks into the competition, ‘America’s Next Top Model’s Angelea Preston has filed a lawsuit against the show after being eliminated in its  All-Star  season.

The show’s reason for doing so?

Her days as an alleged sex worker.

Whitney Houston‘s iconic talent is set to be celebrated on November 10th when ‘Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances’ lands in stores.

As reported, the set will sew together some of the diva’s most dazzling live showings on the CD/DVD release.

Given the wealth of Whitney’s talent, we don’t envy those tasked with narrowing down her many amazing moments.

“Nothing more than a kiss.”

‘Django Unchained‘ actress Danièle Watts has been branded a liar by some critics today, after claims that she was unfairly harassed by the Los Angeles Police Department appear to be just as fictional as the characters she plays on screen.

For, after being handcuffed and detained by police for- according to her- kissing her Caucasian husband in public,  snaps have emerged that tell quite a different story, validating the Department’s reasons for believing she was a prostitute.

Well, that didn’t take long.

Earlier today, Nicole Scherzinger unravelled the tracklist for her second solo album – which at the time had no confirmed title.

Fast forward a few hours and the Sony Music set has an official – and rather odd – name. ‘Big Fat Lie’.

The LP, which is being produced in totality by Tricky Stewart and The Dream, also saw its cover unravelled. Check it out above.

‘I Luv This Sh*t’ singer August Alsina received an outpouring of love from well-wishers shocked at reports that he had collapsed on stage during a show in the Big Apple last night.  Just hours after premiering his highly anticipated video for ‘No Love’ ft. Nicki Minaj on BET’s ‘106 & Park,’ the R&B crooner took the stage at New York’s Irving Plaza where he shortly fainted thereafter.

Beforehand, Alsina was spotted dishing on his forthcoming tour with Usher, his buddy Chris Brown, love for Nicki Minaj, and so much more with ‘The Breakfast Club.’  The footage of the interview just made its way to the net today.

Dru Hill frontman Sisqo is ready to ride his way to the top of charts again with ‘A-List’ – the first cut from his forthcoming solo project ‘Last Dragon.’

Tapping Atlantan hitmaker Waka Flocka Flame for his comeback single, the bass driven number kicks off what is set to be Sisqo’s first in over a decade. Set for a December 9th debut under Kedar Massenburg‘s new label Massenburg Media, it’s accompanying music video saw its premiere today via our friends at Billboard.

Mona Scott Young scores yet another hit for VH1 – this time in the form of the Omarion & Ray J-led cast of ‘Love & Hip Hop:  Hollywood.’

Bringing in a whopping 2.8 million viewers, no other program (sans Monday night football) tallied as many viewers in the adult age range of 18-49.  This victory comes just days after reports surfaced online that ‘Hollywood’s parent show – ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,’ saw its finale top ratings tallies across the board (even putting the Kardashians to shame).

While it remains to be seen if the show will keep its momentum, one is clear is that it may need to rub some of its good luck off on talk show ‘The Real.’ For, if reports are to be believed, they need it:

Nicole Scherzinger‘s new album may yet to have a name, but that hasn’t stopped the project from from having an official tracklist.

The set, which is being produced entirely by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, serves as the Pop diva’s first for new label Sony Music (the record will be distributed by subsidiaries Epic and RCA in the US and UK respectively).

And while, the former Pussycat Doll has delivered two official singles in the form of ‘Your Love’ and ‘On The Rocks’, folk can now find out which other tracks will be housed on the LP.
