For many, R. Kelly serves as R&B’s unshakable king. It’s fitting, then, that two of the genre’s most prominent princes – Chris Brown and Trey Songz – have teamed up on the former’s new album ‘X’ to pay homage to the Pied Piper.

The pair have cooked up an aptly titled collaboration christened ‘Songs On 12 Play’ – tributing the title of Kelly’s 1993 debut LP ’12 Play’.

A unique concept, it’s one rendered even more noteworthy given the “drama” between Trigga and the ‘Ignition’ singer.

Needless to say, it appears time and reflection have helped Trey understand his positioning and that of Kelly.

Lil Kim‘s comeback campaign has been gifted quite the boost – courtesy of Iggy Azalea.

During an interview with Diddy’s Revolt to promote new mixtape ‘Hard Core 2k14’, the legendary rapper confirmed T.I.’s recent suggestion that she is indeed cooking up a collaboration with the ‘Fancy’ femcee.

Just one week remains until Chris Brown‘s new album ‘X’ dances into stores. As such, the singer has begun blazing the promotional trail for the hotly anticipated set.

His latest stop was ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, where – backed by The Roots – he rocked the stage with a medley of the LP’s biggest hits ‘Loyal’ and its title track.

It’s finally here!  The Queen Bee of Rap Lil’ Kim is back and ready to reclaim her throne with ‘Hardcore 2:  The Mixtape.’

Teasing fans with drops like that of her newly risen Jadakiss-assisted single ‘Real Slick,’ the highly anticipated mix tape comes as the rap potentate’s first full body of work since 2011’s ‘Black Friday.’  Originally scheduled to drop tonight at 9:11 pm, the demand for the digital album was so great that it temporarily shutdown Kim’s site – sending fans into an uproar over the extended wait.

Now that the wait is over, did she deliver a critical masterpiece worthy of being pegged the sequel to her classic 1996 debut ‘Hardcore?’

Tomorrow brings with it the arrival of ‘No Good Deed’, the latest thriller from Sony Pictures.

The movie, which stars award-winning actor Idris Elba and Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson, tells a chilling tale that critics have christened a must-see.

Henson plays Terri; a devoted wife and mother of two, living an ideal suburban life in Atlanta. However, when Colin (Elba) – a charming but dangerous escaped convict – shows up at her door claiming car trouble, things  She offers her phone to help him yet soon learns that “no good deed” goes unpunished as she finds herself fighting for survival when he invades her home and terrorizes her family.

Exciting, right?!

Why it’s a step in the right direction? It’s theme, which sees the quartet leave the club-hopping escapades to their genre sons (Chris Brown & Trey Songz) to court the ears of older audiences with talk of marriage, commitment and true love.

Responsible for her introduction to the game back in 2006, Ryan Leslie‘s short-lived run at the top with Cassie may seem to have spawned nothing more than a hit in the single ‘Me & U’ and modelling career for the stage-shy singer.

Fortunately for the pair, looks are often deceiving- doing very little to tell a story that’s been anything but short-lived for the producer, who has revealed just how much he has earned from the aforementioned ‘Me’ and its parent album, ‘Cassie.’

He may presently be topping headlines for calling a Canadian reporter a ‘piece of sh*t’ on live TV (click here if you missed that), but former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is also reportedly hard at work with putting the final touches on his forthcoming biopic…starring Jamie Foxx.

According to Tyson, he and Foxx are in discussions to begin production on the film that would see the ‘Unpredictable’ singer portray him at different stages of his life using CGI technology.

“Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it,” said Tyson, 48. “Within a year to 18 months, we’re going to do the Mike Tyson story and he’s going to portray me, and now they have this new animation; because you know Jamie’s pretty much my age so he can’t portray me but they have this new system.”
