Mariah Carey may be engulfed in a media storm regarding the status of her marriage, but it seems the diva is keen to put on a brave face.

The singer was snapped out and about in Los Angeles with her three-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, whose father Nick Cannon she is reportedly on the cusp of divorcing.

Mathew Knowles may have moved on from managing daughter Beyonce, however that hasn’t stopped the former industry force from sharing his pearls of wisdom.

The 63-year-old, whose Music World company launched the careers of Destiny’s Child and its members solo, is currently teaching seminars in Communications and the Music Industry in Houston, Texas.

Currently hard at work promoting the courses, Knowles stopped by The Roula and Ryan Show Podcast – where he offered a number of memorable soundbites.

Beyond dishing on his career and tips for success in the music industry, the businessman:

– Revealed that this year’s Grammy’s was the first time he watched Beyonce perform “as a dad rather than a manager”.

– Confirmed he is still the manager of Destiny’s Child and that new tour from the ladies is likely. 

– Suggests there may have been a promotional angle of sorts from Jay Z and Solange’s elevator-gate.

Here’s hoping Jessie J has room for a new Gold plaque, for that’s just what she’s set to receive thanks to US fans who purchased her brand new single ‘Bang Bang.’

Serving the song alongside Ariana Grande and ‘Anaconda’ rapper Nicki Minaj, ‘Bang’ has now sold enough units in the US to be certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America! 

Since it touched down in support of the Brit’s LP ‘Sweet Talker’, the bop has sold 502,000 units as of August 20th, marking the second single by Minaj to reach the half a million milestone in the last month, following ‘The Pink Print‘-pulled ‘Pills n Potions.’

Will it be enough to steer ‘Talker’ away from Flopsville?
