Roc Nation have once again drawn on Great Britain in the hunt for their latest star.

Having achieved ample success with Rita Ora, the Jay Z juggernaut has signed newcomer Alexa Goddard to their revered roster.

Hailing from Hampshire, England, the young starlet has been building a fan-base since the age of 14 – when she was travelling across Europe recording and promoting early demos.

She went on to become one of the ten Most Subscribed musicians in the history of YouTube UK with over 44 million views. More than hype, Goddard’s popularity led to her selling over 250,000 singles independently, thanks to her online presence. Bowled over by the singer’s buzz, top Roc Nation executives were so impressed that they promptly told their A&R division to ‘go get her’.

And “get her” they did. Goddard signed with the company last year and is gearing up to celebrate with debut single ‘Marilyn’. Produced by iconic hitmakers Stargate, the catchy cut was penned by fellow Roc artist Romans.

Does Alexa have what it takes? Listen below and let us know!
