Once the Buffy to Rihanna‘s Faith, the latest era of Beyonce‘s career has seen her swerve into the the ‘Pour It Up‘ singer’s “crazy, sexy, cool” lane and- if we’re being really honest- beat her at own game.
The result? A cooler and far more relatable Beyonce sat at the top of the brand arguably fresher today than it ever has been.
That might be one way to explain why her latest single ‘7/11‘ now sits atop Urban radio this week, becoming the fifth bop lifted from her ‘Beyonce‘ campaign to do so.
It success comes as the album’s Urban singles continue to outperform its Pop siblings, topping the Urban radio tally after the Hip Hop single ‘Drunk in Love’ outperformed the Ryan Tedder- penned ‘XO‘ on the Billboard Hot 100.
