Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon’s first joint effort surfaced within the hour (on BET Access Granted) in the form of her video for new single ‘I Stay In Love With You’. The clip, which was directed by Cannon, sees Mariah lament on not being able to get over a straying lover, all with a Las Vegas backdrop.
Thoughts on the video? It’s not anywhere near the train-wrecks other couple collaborative efforts have spawned, yet it’s hardly remarkable. I guess time will tell if it packs enough punch to revive ‘E=MC²’ – which is currently on life support.

i stay in love is a great song and if she actually takes the time to really promote it, it will chart high. besides “touch my body” she did not really promote this album and it still has sold over a million when people are struggling to sell. madonna is suppose to be one of the biggest pop artists in the world and she has barely hit 600,000. people arent selling now a days. they all want something featuring t pain and lil wayne or the same damn beat from beyonce and her whippin her weave around

Nice song however Mariah looks like street trash in the video.
Let me break it down for you guys. The video is super simple and classy, it gets the point across and keeps you wanting more. Mariah made ONE bad choice single wise. She chose "Bye Bye" instead of Migrate. Bye Bye should have been her last single, not her second. And the video was pretty good for Bye Bye too, it just wasnt enough. And she barley promoted it. American idol, Oprah & GMA isnt enough to get a #1 single. Anyways I'll Be Lovin U Long Time could have easily gone #1, it was a GREAT summer song. The reason why it flopped, was three main reasons. !) The video was HORRIBLE! 2) NO PROMOTION except TCA which again .. wasnt enough for a #1 3)It was the follow up to the failure "Bye Bye". If you have a flopp song and then want to rebound, you gotta work even harder to promote it and have a better video. And Mariah thought just by showing some skin and singing on the LEAST watched Award show on TV would be enough. But like I said, if IBLULT had a good video, and she promoted it, it would have been a #1. I also want to say that since she had two HORRIBLE songs released before, she has one more chance to revive the album and herself period. And Migrate was the clear choice, but her label is F****** STUPID and cancelled it. Migrate was a for sure #1 .. even WITHOUT promotion!!! I dont think having a ballad is a good way of reviving a album. She needed a HOT song that could be played anywhere. Migrate could have been played on the radio, the clubs, and even in stores. I Stay In Love .. doesnt have that much appeal except to radio. I am 99.9% sure the only reason why Nick produced the video was because her label didnt want to spend alot of money on a producer because of the failure of her previous 2 singles. With Nick, they get a semi-professional producer and its FREE. I Stay In Love is a good song, but is it single/#1 worthy? Thats the question … if Mariah wants this to even chart Top 15 she needs to PROMOTE POMOTE AND PROMOTE HER ASS OFF! Everyone is already saying how she is dead and that Emancipation of Mimi was just a lucky record and she really is dead for good. Mariah needs to take every chance she has and shove I Stay In Love down peoples throats. She needs to stop working on EVERYTHING else, and get on shows to promote it. With sales down in the music business, she needs to work even harder. But people .. it is just up to her. if we want this #1, us fans gotta work at it as well! We need to buy the song more then once on iTunes or wherever you get music. You need to request it to your radio, and help her promote it. Maybe put it on a CD and give it to a DJ at a club or SOMETHING. I am telling you right now, if Mariah gets this to be #1, we will get another single. And most likely it will be Migrate. Anyways thats what is really up, and all you haters need top stop hating!

I love “I Stay in Love” but the video is worth a yawn. Anyone could have directed this video. It’s just an excuse for Nick Cannon to feel like he belongs in the entertainment industry. Also, I guess it’s follow a clever video like “Touch My Body.”
Side note–seems like people lost interest once it was announced to the world that she was going to marry him–just my take, you can disagree and get all annoyed if you want.
Side Effects is by far the best song on this album!
