Christina Aguilera Reveals Album Title

Vocal powerhouse Christina Aguilera has finally opened up about her next studio release. Entitled ‘Bionic’, details about the LP were revealed to Marie Claire magazine during a rather informative interview. Track titles revealed during the conversation with the fashion magazine include the Hip-Hop ‘Glam’, ‘Lullaby’ and the ‘electronic’ title track, ‘Bionic’. The  record hits stores in Spring this year. Check out an excerpt from the interview here.

This is certainly some interesting news. ‘Glam’, which is rumoured to be the first single, stands out as the most interesting title because of it’s reported similarity to Madonna’s classic ‘Vogue’, which was one of the songs that defined an era in Pop music. Whether or not Aguilera has what it takes to make a major splash on the charts remains to be seen but with such noted variety in her material, it seems that she is bringing her best to the table this time around.

Sidebar: What were the chances of this news surfacing on same day as this article? Freaky stuff indeed…

  2. BUNIFAH LATIFAH January 4, 2010

This is her year. Legend is back and that’s nuff said.
All other b****** better RUN cause Aguilera is officially back and coming for their wigs.

  3. PhleshTone January 4, 2010

    Poor her.
First she was jocking Gaga, now she’s going after Madge.
    Smh.

  4. Liron January 4, 2010

You spoke too soon. I hope you thoroughly read that article. Everyone who’s on board for this album have been praising her.

That other article was total b*******, btw.

    Never underestimate a true artist.

  5. Blu Majik January 4, 2010

yasss Bunifa. U betta speak on it! My girl is back in the limelight and back to reclaim her spot in pop music!

  6. Krizz January 4, 2010

  7. WTF January 4, 2010

she comes out of hiding when queen sasha goes into hibernation. i guess she was scared of her wig being snatched off. waters are now safe for her, ciara and ashanti to have a crack.

  8. FiercerMC January 4, 2010

You must be smoking some bad s***.

Christina has some of the BEST producers and writers working on this album. She is collabing with MIA & Santigold, Tricky Stewart, and Diplo & Switch.

She has 2 movies coming out this year, she got invited to present at the Golden Globs later this month, has a complete film soundtrack she is working with Danja & Sia on, PLUS her studio album and world tour all in 1 year. Did you see Christina at her sold out new year’s bash in Vegas? This B**** IS READY TO COME AT YOU ALL.

As far as that other b******* article concerning Christina; I think you spoke WAY too soon. SIT DOWN and go apply extra strength glue to your lace front weave. CHRISTINA IS COMING TO SNATCH IT.

Britney Spears better go back into hiding take that lipsyching with her. The real talent is back. And to those who said she will be copying Lady Gaga remember who came out first. Christina Aguilera has been out since the damn 90s. If anything Gaga has copied her so quiet all that down. Xtina is Pop music royalty and is about to shut s*** down. She always switches her style from Rock to Jazz she is an innovator and is always reinventing herself. She is a true pop icon.

They were probably horrified by the shitiness that was the article you featured.

  13. KodieBlue January 5, 2010

My Girl Is Back! THAAANNKKK GOD! I love how she waits four years to drop each album taking the necessay time it takes to put out a great album displaying raw energy and emotion that many people have uet to have reckoned with..

  14. wtf January 5, 2010

ahhh, who is up in here stealing mahhhh name???? GTFOH, the original is here..

lol, trent stop making yourself important…your dumbass spoke tooo soon…you act as if you know stuff but you dnt..like i said, stick to writting about rihanna, mariah and beyonce cause that is all you know!!!

  15. anon January 5, 2010

blatently tell by the look that she’s just gonna jock other people’s style. what happened to the good ole xtina, instead of the one that tags along with the current hip “electro pop” style!!

  16. Marcus January 5, 2010

    OMG! exciting news
    I cant wait.
    The real b**** is back!!!!

  17. number1k9 January 5, 2010

As for Christina copying Gaga, I will admit she is copying Gaga when she starts to dress in outlandish ways and wear sun glasses everywhere like her. Until then, she can make ElectroPop music all she wants, who isn’t now! I mean s*** if Sean Kingston can jock Gaga (switching from his Island Pop to ElectroPop) and work with RedOne who Gaga is known for working with, Christina can at least create similar music with other producers!

I’m excited for this album. I also believe Aguilera said she was going back to do a Pop themed album ever since like 2007, way before Gaga got big, and Electronic music is big now, just ask others such as the Black Eyed Peas (big fan of), Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Flo Rida, Owl City, and the list goes on. All of them have used Electronic music influences, so Aguilera can too!

I MUST SAY, Christina better perform on the Grammy Awards at thje end of this month to insure her single shooting up to number 1 on iTunes during the final week, that would def. be the sure fire push needed to secure a lead single hit!

    Go Aguilera!

    @number1k9

  18. Kp January 5, 2010

Trent, you are so full of crap.

Please stop ruining Sam’s blog with your blasé nonsense! Aguilera will always be one of the reigning princesses of pop … and she doesn’t need to constantly drench the charts with hits to prove that.

  19. contradiction January 5, 2010

omg!!! they changed my post to say “i love trent”
you f****** suck ass, let people have free speech, wankers

  20. Imperfect Angel January 5, 2010

Now see Trent THAT is how you write a post! MUCH better compared 2 yesterday’s trainwreck. I think Christina has what it takes to bounce back after time off for motherhood. Known for her beautiful ballads Christina just might be able to throw a curve ball in the game and change what we hear on the radio and give us something we can actually listen to that makes us think “You better sing girl!” lol i mean i’m just saying…..but to all the people constantly throwing Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and Rihanna’s name out there PLEASE STOP! You cannot compare not one of these artist together because they all have there own styles and sounds which make them all unique…hmm…well…except Rihanna but u get my drift……lol

  21. Dave January 5, 2010

YESS @ GHETTOFAB & JOP ; Y’all betta PREACH!! Christina is coming for it, be prepared for her to start snatching. She’s a legend, she doesn’t have to resort to the gimmicks & the recycled same catchy pop song. She can wait, do her she correctly & slay with well put together music.

  22. Nick January 5, 2010

GET IT CHRISTINA !!! LOVE HER !!! …..

  23. Jesse January 5, 2010

I am now sooooo excited for glam to leak….its gonna def. be a full court media press, her people know how to get her on every mag, tv show, award show etc. the earlier post about her being irrelevant is just cuz she doesnt get desperate and try too hard, she lets her talent do the talking, after back to basics you can just tell she is totally comfortable with herself and her music

  24. WTF – (THE ORIGINAL) January 5, 2010

I actually miss christina a bit. dnt when she over sings tho. she then gets on my nerves.

wtf – ur such a lame as$. GTFOH wanker! peace

  25. Adolfo Martinez February 4, 2010

I would like to place Madonna in the same category as Christina but….Christina doesn’t lip-synch. Christina has been in the business long before Gaga and always reinvents herself. There is no jocking going on. Plus, whatever Christina does will be 10 x better than anything Gaga puts out. Incomparable.
