Mariah Carey Reveals Title Of Remix Album

Having recently embarked on her ‘Angels Advocate Tour’, diva Mariah Carey has finally revealed the title of her high anticipated remix LP. The record has been named ‘Angels Advocate’, and will feature appearances from Mary J. Blige, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Big Boi, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, T-Pain, Jodeci, Gucci Mane and Jermaine Dupri. The album is set to hit stores on February 23rd, preceded by the release of the first singles, ‘Up Out My Face (Ft. Nicki Minaj)’ and ‘Angels Cry (Ft. Ne-Yo)’.

The title is simple and to the point. Furthermore, giving the LP the same name as the tour will help patrons to associate both ventures, thus having a possible positive effect on the sales of the album. Interestingly, Carey’s team is going to have to be the biggest advocate of this record. As the followup to the commercially disappointing ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’, it is safe to say that this album is set to debut in rocky territory. Hence, Carey’s camp is going to have to work twice as hard to promote this project and capture public attention.

Even though I still enjoy the original memiors I can’t wait to see what the remix serves up.

  2. FiercerMC January 3, 2010

Yay to MC for not giving up on it!!!
Memoirs is a great album! It deserves to be rereleased & remixed!

  3. Shasha Fierce January 3, 2010

    F L O P alert sign is ON.. 🙂

  4. No name January 3, 2010

whats the point? This will be flopped harder than Memoirs..

  5. Jasmine January 3, 2010

I don’t see what the point is. Memoirs was not that great commercially but by renaming the album RIAA is going to treat it as a new album and the sales from the remix album will not be added to the Memoirs so it will be three flops to her career instead of two. Every CD does not have to be a hit commercially when you are on Mariah’s level. She should have continued promoting Memoirs and chose better singles.

Mariah has seen “Emotions”, “Glitter” & “Memoirs” flop. She is no stranger to that. What she is truly no stranger to is Remixes. Not many artists can sell us a remix quite like Mariah can. It’s just what she does so well. She hasn’t given us a good remix as a single in a long time either so I think it’s about that time. I’ll support it even though original “Memoirs” to me doesn’t like a torch against “Emancipation of Mimi” set.

With this album I can safely conclude that she wants more money from her unprofitable sales of Memoirs.

    R I P…….old Angel !!!

  8. HATEHER January 3, 2010

As much as I love Mariah, her prime time is said and done!

At last she bring herself down to J-Lo’s standard. Only delusional Lambs would rush to get this album. Nothing but leftovers from Glitter, E=mc2 and Memoirs.

    Strictly for Lambs.

Remix or re-name, Memoirs sucks to begin with. Nothing could save this era. Sorry..

Mimi, sit down and pop out babies for god sake! 🙁

    USA Sales:

    Memoirs= 350 k

Mariah I love you to death but let it go. You flopped. It’s called overexposure. The public is tired of you. Give it a rest. Why make a remix album of already crappy songs that no one cared about except your die hard lambs consisting of power bottoms with holes bigger than the Holland Tunnel who accept mediocrity.

Why don’t you go away for 4 years or so. Maybe reunite with Walter A, work on some material with David Foster and Diane Warren. You’re old honey, accept it. You’re now at the age where you’re old enough to be the moms of the very audience you’re patronizing! Knockin 40 and talkin some ish about “Up out my face” B**** please

Its getting tired…take rest mimi…come back in two years and own the bloody music industry like u did when you were saner.

  14. Take A Rest January 3, 2010

I am more excited to see her baby with Nick than her remix album to be honest !!! 🙁

  15. Tereshay January 3, 2010

Mariah is fantastic and I really wanna see her do well… I might just buy a copy!

  16. The One January 3, 2010

Most of you people sound so stupid!!!!!! If you don’t like memoirs thats you opinion, but alot of peole have the album and love it!!!!!! Even if they didn’t buy it!!!! I can wait for the remix album because peeps like mariah carey and a few others are the only artist around with real muis and talent!!! So you can have your none sing Mrs, kelly, ciara, Brittney and etc…. Its sad that in a few years there will be no real talent in the music industry at all!!!!! Thank You Mariah carey for sharing your gift with us…….It is truley God given!!! Most of these young cats or just to dumb to undersatnd!!!!

  17. JayJay January 3, 2010

i’ve checked mariah daily journal and nowhere does it say the record is called Angels’ Advocate. Is this another case of TGJ making things up like they did with JLo scrapping “Louboutins”?

    unreliable or what?

  18. JoJo January 3, 2010

    Big belly flop!

  19. Josh January 4, 2010

Yes, Mariah sure is 40 and is the only one who can pull off a song like “Up Out My Face”…..Don’t hate. Mariah Is talented bottom line, and can hit notes you wanksta’s WISH you could make your girlfriend hit! Memoirs is a good CD, with the exception of a couple songs. It seems like all the big mouth people on here giving MC advice; when, and who to come back with would have a label of their own…a producer….or someone that mattered in general. This just goes to show that NO MATTER how PERFECT one can be……it’s never good enough, Mariah is the next best thing to perfect (A god gifted talented singer who is beautiful and has TONS of money) People just feel the need to complain because they are H.A.T.E.R.S!!!!!

  20. RhapsodyinBlue January 4, 2010

It ain’t about “H.A.T.E.R.S.” The majority of people who were “complaining” as you say, hinted towards the fact that they were fans actually. I even said, “I love Mariah Carey to death” and I most certainly do. I’m going to see her soon actually. But if you liked the album, that’s fine. But it’s obviously that an overwhelming majority didn’t.

The thing is this. If you put out an album with garbage, it wont sell – period. Word of mouth gets out fast. You can’t blame it on piracy. Look at Susan Boyle. Can’t blame it on lack of promotion either. MC did more then plenty including “Oprah” just like Whitney and unlike Whitney, Marah even had a top then single on the Hot 100 (Obsessed) and the Memoirs album still flopped!!! What does that tell you. Simply that it sucks. You “lambs” have to accept it.

She needs to pull a card from the Madonna playbook and reinvent herself as artist. In order do that, she needs to let go of “Mimi” and find Mariah again. She needs to embrace her true self and not an image created by her A&R people to appeal to a certain demographic.

  21. EMOTIONS DID NOT FLOP January 5, 2010

Emotions flop? Emotions did not flop. It may not have done well as her debut album but 4x platinum in the U.S. and 10x platinum worldwide is hardly a flop. Glitter, E=MC2 (which you convienently forgot) and now Memoirs flopped. One this is certain, Emotions was a hell of lot better than the material she puts out nowadays.

  22. Impossible January 7, 2010

I love the CD and hate the fact it has a “flop” label as it does. EM2 was great 2 me 2. True Mariah has been here forever and the highs aren’t as high as they use to be, but she knows how to make a remix CD. She is in need of a new marketing team to promote her now. The tour and the latest cds are not getting enough exposure in my opinion. Keep up the work u will always have my money… Unless its a glitter moment 🙂
