R&B star Usher posed it up with Nicki Minaj on the set of their video for new single ‘Lil’ Freak’, which was shot last week in Los Angeles. The clip was directed by TAJ (also pictured).
With ‘Lil’ Freak’ serving as the track which has, thus far, garnered the most buzz from Usher’s ‘Raymond v Raymond’ LP (due March 30th), it was a pretty smart move on his team’s part to give it the single treatment. With the video no doubt set to drop around the album’s release, it’ll likely give the LP a healthy first week boost.
Ciara is also in the video Sam! It was supposed to be a surprise but the director accidently said thank you for her being on set lol
I dunno. This seems like a good combination so let’s see.

nicki’s a one trick pony with her delivery/lyricism and the attention w**** outfits are a no. song’s wack and it shows how desperate usher is for success when he tacks on a flavor of the month. this’ll do worse than the “here i stand” LP. book it.
Usher has seemed to have lost a bit of his swag… not feeling any of his releases as well as leaks. The music sounds outdated and have album-filler status. He needs a new sound and new image for marketing. I laugh every single time I hear “Daddy’s Home” on the radio. It sounds like a song from 1990-1992.

Nicki Minaj needs to do her own thing and stop acting like a fame hungry w****. Lady Gaga said it best “I dont think i’ll be collaborating with anyone else anytime soon because I think it’s important to establish yourself as an act rather than riding off the backs of others”. Which is clearly what Nicki is doing. That’s how she’s made her fame, NOT off her own music talent. It’s damn shame!

U r a great Usher fan! The album will have a rough start because of the bad vibe floating around him, eventually he is going to be back doing his thing. He will slowly outsell Here I Stand let’s just remember at the end of the day, this era will end and Usher will do pretty good. Then after this era everyone will forget about his personal drama and then after RvR is over the public will gain more interest in his next album when the next era comes and vice versa, so in the end Usher is #1 and people will be sorry for being so mean to him. We got to pray hard for his return b/c it’s us fans who are responsible for Usher’s success not the good for nothing lifeless haters. Let’s make this happen and hope for the best for Usher and his awesome singles Hey daddy, Lil Freak and OMG b/c they are going to be popular.
