Pop star Christina Aguilera is currently doing the promotional rounds for new single ‘Not Myself Tonight’, which is lifted from her forthcoming LP ‘Bionic’. Speaking to KISS radio recently about what what fans can expect from the album, the 29 year old likened the set (which hits stores on June 8th), to her Grammy award winning ‘Stripped’ LP. Check out what she said below…
“You’re gonna love this record,” she told American radio station KISS.
“If you loved ‘Lovin’ Me For Me’ from [Stripped] there’s a song called ‘Sex For Breakfast’ that’s really sexy and sweet.
“And you’ll love the stuff I did with artist-singer-songwriter Sia and her guitar player which I call the heart of the record. It’s very Stripped-esque if you will.”
The 29-year-old also revealed that the album will appeal to her gay fans.
She explained: “They’re hardcore fans – their love for you doesn’t die. If I have that following then they’re gonna love the album too because it definitely speaks to them as well in a lot of songs.” {Source}
One can only hope the album is more ‘Stripped’ than not, as Ms. Aguilera’s releases since the 2002 smash have been lacking to say the least (shudders at the thought of ‘Keeps Getting Better’). I guess time will tell…
