Alicia Keys wasn’t the only celebrity performer to hit the ‘American Idol’ stage last evening. R&B diva Mary J. Blige and the Black Eyed Peas also took part in the ‘Idol Gives Back’ event, treating the audience to performances of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and ‘Rock That Body’ respectively. Check out the show below:
Dang Fergie sounded A Blazing Mess…Fergie has never been a gr8 vocalist, she has a gr8 strong voice but does not knw hw 2 use it,esp live
MJB did the damn thing best performance of the night
Black eyed peas make great music, it’s just a shame none of them can actually sing…
fergie has absolutely no vocal control…..performance wise I’m not even gonna go there……….actualluy I am !!! all she does is stomp around stage and shout !
Will.I.Am is just a good producer…thats it……rapping wise…he’s weak, and he sounded f****** terrible !!!!!!!!!!!
Mary J blige was okay….same old, same old shakey vocals…dutty wining around the stage on her big hooves……..

This was so entertaining. MJ sang her a** off. And that women guiter player was the bomb. Her fingers was going to town on it. Black Eye Peas was great also. Now that’s what I call good a** entertainment.
Why would fergie wear that during a charity chow…what a h**.
If you were smart you would obviously have saw that something was going wrong with the BEP’s audio. will.i.am’s part was lagging, and Fergie’s mic was not configured in the right way to give her the chipmunk effect, so it really is their audio engineer’s fault for most of the reasons why they didn’t sound on point tonight.
Still “Rock That Body” is the s***, and to the person who dissed Ferg’s fit, don’t be mad cuz you can’t wear that on live TV, hater!
NUMBER1k9 stop trying to sound intelligent when you don’t even know the correct music instrument terminology, there was nothing wrong with any of their audio equipment, fergie never uses the vo-corder when they perform this song live anyways !!! get your s*** rightyou fool it was just a s*** performance, deal with it………
psycho fans always making excuses for bad performances !!!!!
BEP have never good live anyways……..

Queen Mary was the best of the night. She rocked out!
Fergie in my opinion is a great vocalist but this time she wasn’t at her best!spo don’t say she can’t sing she has done great perfromances in past , and then shehas a great rOCK voice not an r&b vocie it’s a little bit different!
this woman ruining one of the best songs ever, smh…
oh and yeah, Fergie wasnt so good this time I hate The Black Eyed Peas but I’ve seen her killing it live, she has a great voice
Mary was ok i like me sum mary she looked good also but she was the best of the nite…………………

You can shut you mouth with all the talk like I don’t know what I’m talking bout, I’m damn sure I’m in school for related issues and pretty sure your ass is not!
She never performs this song with auto-tune/vocoder, umm she def did on the D*** Clark’s Rockin’ New Year Eve special.

View for yourself, and learn what the hell it is your talking about before coming at me with some nonsense. And just for you, here is ANOTHER clip of her using audio enhancing technology! The verse isn’t auto tuned, but the chorus for damn sure is-so YES someone could have easily not knew how to work the switches and therefore it affected the entire performance.

Hardcore fans MAY be delusional at times, but we sure do know the s*** we’re talking about, when it’s not simply an opinion.
Forget MJB, Carrie Underwood KILLED it last night <333
BEP is a mess live. Fergie can sing, but she doesn’t know how to do that. Also they lack on energy and performance. All the time I see them live is like they’re lost. They are really boring outside the cd.
Mary J Blige killed it. She’s amazing singer.
BLACK EYED PEAS PERFORMANCE WAS NOT THAT GREAT
