This track is pure fiah and I am ready for summer with this jam. I am not even American (BIG UP CANANDA!) but I would proud to be Amrican with this track celebrateting the 4th of July.
All this club music coming from mainstream artist like Kelis, Kelly Rowland, Will.I.Am, GAGA, AKORN and Madonna (who is in the studio with David Guetta) I can’t wait for all this new music to hit the airwaves!!!

Kelis is bringing something new to her fans which is what will keep her around for awhile. I like the new stuff and her old stuff (is In Public). Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson should take note and try to experiment with their sound for thier next albums.

Interesting, it’s pretty good. Kelis has been doing dance for a while, but I don’t want her whole album to be like that. Alas, I think it will. She’s different, but unfortunately she’s going the route that everyone else is trying to go.
She’s one of the best at this sound, but how is this going to distinguish her from her counterparts? My guess is it’s really not. 🙁 Oh Kelis I <3 You….

NO TO madona’s coment. Janet’s been around for 37 years and is an ICON. Janet’s albums have always came a different way. control, RN, Janet, VR, all for you, DAmita Jo, 20yo, and discipline. she’s always had a different sound. eventhough most folks want her to to her early stuff over again. Kelis is brillant and have always been ahead of her time, she was lady gaga 10 years ago, before it was cool to be weird. So kelis is going in the right direction.

Janet is one od my favorite artists! i know sh has tried to chang it up, like Rock With You. OMG that song is still and always will be on my playlist. i justthink Janet needs to bring something fresh sounding. Not saying her next album should be all different, but have a few tracks that have cross-over appeal.(ie. Black Cat, Rock With You, Together Again).
Does anyone know why Janet has less impact than she did 1989-1994? She was actually hotter than me (Madonna) at that time. I really think it comes down to her singing voice. Like Ciara, she can have a great song, but if it sung with wispers and moans no one is really checking for it.

Rihanna’s last album was a different direction, which i think is great! That’s what I meant about changing back to dance. The album was not well recieved by fans (looking at album sales), but the critics to give positive reviews. i think my whole point was…I love dance music and I glad the music from mainstream artists have been changing it up a little by by going in this direction. It’s summertime, I want to hear music from my favorite artist having fun and just plain ole partying. None of this ROCK STAR bullSh*t…..she is not P!NK (who made the change so well).

you seriously consider s.o.s, disturbia and don’t stop the music to be dance songs!? You most not know very much about the genre of dance/electro, cuz if you did, then you would know that those 3 particular songs are pop/urban at best. Listen to some paul anthony, kim sozzi, september, and dj’s like benny benassi, bad boy bill, and david guetta’s older stuff then come back and tell me that Rihanna-h** has done dance…plus kelis’ new stuff is wayyyyyy more in the dance/electo/trance genre and sounds like nothing i’ve heard from beyonce, lady gaga, or rihanna….they’re sounds are a lot more urban/pop…at least for now anyway….so yea, sorry ta say but kelis is still 1 giant step ahead of the game cuz I can see those other lady’s following suit real soon!

I love Kelis and her music dearly but why has yet another track leaked from ‘Flesh Tone’ when I hear the album is only gonna feature eight songs. If that’s true we’ve now heard half the album (Acapella, Scream and Shout, 22nd Century and 4th of July). Like why aren’t her people handling this. Those songs should be on lock til that album hit stores. Sometimes leaking too many songs can be a bad thing. I just really the album has more than eight songs though.

I don’t even know why Rihanna stans are like this. Everyone is able to see the pros and cons of the artists they support! i like Rihanna but I am not deaf to the fact that she isn’t a great singer, but she is pretty and that is what seems to work for her!
She has strings attached to her that Def Jam pulls on to give her direction. She has no music sense but fashion is her forte. She relies heavily on gimmicks and she is NOT original! She has done so much “borrowing” from greats but has not executed them properly. Def Jam has gotten rid of REAL talents/underpromoted them just for her and it’s pathetic. Just look at Amerie, Mariah, Teairra Mari, Fefe Dobson…list goes on and on. Ri get it 2gether or u will lose fans! *already have*

I’ve been listening to live clips of her performing this for months now and finally I can say the full song is perfect.
YEAH I like this song… I have always supported Kelis ( financially by buying her music) not because of her voice but because she was willing to go where others wouldn’t. She’s not fearful and has always been willing to go in whatever direction she wanted to go not generally allowing herself to be forced into doing what was trendy at the time. She helps ESTABLISH trends. She can’t sing but her vision and creativity has always been appreciated by me. Granted she is also not creating a sound that I haven’t heard before but YAY for her.
