During a recent performance of ‘Speechless’ in her ‘Monster Ball Tour’, Lady GaGa issued a statement to her critics who have been calling for her to slow down. Now that her tour has been extended until April 18th 2011, many worry that the singer is risking her health, especially since she has lost several pounds as a result of her hectic schedule. However, GaGa says that she’d “rather not die on vacation” but would “rather die on stage” with her fans. Check out the footage below (starting at 6:25) where GaGa proclaimed “I’ll sleep when I’m dead”:
Wile GaGa’s work ethic is admirable, it is easy to see why many people have been begging her to end her tour. From her rail thin figure to her recent bouts with exhaustion, she seems to truly being killing herself for her craft. Remember when Mariah Carey had her well-publicised breakdown in 2001 which was caused by the massive promotional/recording schedule for her ‘Glitter’ album? Yep…

Hey, the girls on a mission. I admire her work ethic. She’s not just dropping video after video or song after song. She’s touring and trying to build a real, dedicated base of fans. She’s giving them performances and shows that are really worth the ticket price.

I absolutely love Lady Gaga, I guess it is up to her whether she wants to rest or not.
But she really does pain her fans when she looks so exhausted on stage. I just hope that she gets enough rest.
No-one has a right to tell her to stop, except herself. We can just be there to support her.

I love Lady GaGa to death but I agree with what they are saying. She’s working herself like a dog. I really think she should take a little time of, like one month every three or something. It would benefit her very much, plus I would not want to see her die, especially so soon.

That video was really really REALLY BORING TO DEATH to watch… She’s just always making a clown of herself… I like her music though… Well, not this song but her hit singles…
And she definitely looked healthier and more beautiful in her first videos…
And the ending to this song sounded quite like Mariah’s ending of her version of the Star-Spangled Banner… Really… So she COPIED that…

I agree with Plain and Simple. These artists like Gaga let their fans down when they are exhausted and run down. I would rather artists like her, Bey, and Rihanna take a break and get some sleep then keep pushing themselves to the limit. Yeah, her work ethic may be admirable, but she’s headed for a breakdown if she keeps this up.
I love her drive and determination. Her dedication to her fans is unlike any artist out right now.
She goes so hard for them. Music is life or death for her. She has nothing else. She’s never wanted anything but a career. And now that she has one. I don’t expect to her slowing down anytime soon.
People are making such a big deal about this when in fact it’s not that serious. Ok yes, she’s lost a lot of weight and her hair, skin and teeth look awful but it’s not like she doesn’t eat. And it’s her life. If she wants to die on stage then by all means let her.
That girl puts heart and soul into what she does. That is why she’s at the level she is at right now. No other artist out there right now is working harder than she is. Touring like crazy, shooting videos, recording a new album.

I just went to her concert tonight in Berlin and she actually said the same thing…I have so much respect for Lady Gaga: she is such a great entertainer! Today she won me over; after seeing that American Idol show I wasnt so sure if she still had it…but i was proven wrong!

These artists like Rihanna and Gaga can not take a break. Once they signed on there’s no turning back. Now it’s being said that Jay Z wants Rihanna to be the “face” of a new club. She’s already working her b*** off on tour and now the Joe Camel want her to party when she should be resting. She was paid to show up at that club for 45 thousand dollars. She got drunk and partied until 4:30. I know Rihanna would rather chill and relax but when Joe Camel is around all he see is $$$. Same with Gaga. I think Gaga is a puppet. She’s been working non stop and it has nothing to do with being a hard worker. She has to do what she was signed on to do.
