As Ciara’s ‘Ride’ continues its slow ascent up the Billboard charts – now at #79 on the Hot 100 and #55 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs listing – another track from the entertainer has surfaced. The song, entitled ‘I Run It’, features the singer using her lower register over the Tricky Stewart production. Give it a listen below:
It’s good to hear Ciara experimenting with her voice on this record in a similar fashion to what she did on her ‘Fantasy Ride’ LP. However, as is coming the norm with most songs produced by Stewart, the record sounds like it’s been done before. In fact, the recurring beat in the background is has a striking resemblance to J. Holiday’s ‘Bed’ and The-Dream’s ‘Put It Down’. Either way, ‘I Run It’ would make a solid album-filler.
