The full version of Beyonce‘s brand new video for ‘Why Don’t’ You Love Me’ premièred a few moments ago. Directed by Melina, the video is set to be included on the superstar’s forthcoming tour DVD. Check it out below…

Before an inevitable roasting from the stans, lets get the ‘good’ out of the way first. The 70s themed clip certainly serves as one of Bouncy’s better visual offerings in some time. However, the problem lies with the fact that that isn’t saying much…at all. The video is offered nothing more than random solo shots juxtaposed together; how this was supposed connote ‘engaging’ is anyone’s guess.
Though not ‘bad’ per se, this joins an ever-growing pile of Beyonce videos that are sub-par (I still have nightmares about that atrocity of a ‘Sweet Dreams’ video). It’s a shame, though; for, with Ms. Knowles-Carter standing one of the world’s greatest entertainers, one would expect her video output to be world-class. Instead, the last few years served up many a half-baked video effort.
Randomness: Surely a video for a better song could have been commissioned? ‘Hello’, ‘Radio’, and ‘Scared of Lonely’ are much more worthy of the video-treatment from my standpoint.
