Fans looking forward to Chris Brown‘s sell-out European leg of his ‘Fan Appreciation Tour’ will be disappointed tonight; the 21 year old R&B sensation has announced that the tour has been cancelled. The trek was set to kick off in Glasgow on June 9th More after the jump…
Speaking moments ago on Twitter, Brown said:
SORRY to all the fans in europe!!! my tour is cancelled. Im pretty sure yall know. my entry was denied in your country
Though the tweet has since been removed, it has reportedly been done so to clear the way for a formal announcement regarding the tour’s cancellation.
Beyond hoping that Chris’ reference to Europe was as a continent instead of a country (LOL), I can’t but feel sorry for the him. There’s no doubt the legal issues pertaining to his ability to perform abroad are to do with the repercussions of ‘the incident’. It’s just a shame that an issue which should be left in the past is still lingering. That said, shouldn’t all of that been cleared up prior to any deals being finalised for a European tour?!
