Wow who said this was better than Rihanna LOL I’ve seen her do a lot better than this and move a lot more than this girl. Katy Perry looks good but WTF was she doing? She was just standing there and who said that is stage presence? At least Rihanna will attempt to swing the front of her hair and crawl on the damn floor. LOL This was a hot mess and she didn’t sound as good as she did on the movie awards where she was doing a lot more moving around. I don’t understand why Sam and Trent don’t say nothing about her but I figure they must be trying to get an interview with her sometime soon.

I think she sounded well and worked that crowd! Katy Perry doesn’t have a conventional voice, its pop with a subtle rock edge so that may throw some off.

I read some of the comments before watching the video and I guess for Katy Perry that was a good performance. She’s generally pretty akward to watch ( like her recent MTV appearance). I guess she has been selected to be the next big thing because she is starting to go into media push overload. Her proactive ads in magazine and on T.V., her #1 song and ranking in MAxim magazine for sexiest woman (?), these are all a push to make her into a SUPERSTAR. ( in the U.S. , don’t know about her press outside of the states)
I mean do we all reeeallly want to know about her upcoming wedding? I think most people don’t but we are going to be bombarded with it so she can increase her public profile. In general I like Perry ( and really like R. Brand) but I hate it when the powers that be try to force people down our throats.
