Lady GaGa debuted a new song at Elton John’s 12th annual White Tie & Tiara Ball earlier this week. The track is entitled ‘You & I’ and will be featured on her next studio album due in earlier 2011. Check out GaGa’s debut performance of the record below:
This song is quite similar to ‘Speechless’ and obviously draws on the essence of John’s many hits. Anyone who denies GaGa’s versatility as an artist simply does not understand her talent. Although it is highly unlikely that this track will see single status, it is definitely a good addition to any body of work. Good stuff.

So let me get this right… an artist plays her own music… can ACTUALLY sing (and do it live), WRITES her own music and performed the hell out of it and still get’s bashed? I understand that no one can please everyone but the comments on this board go from pure ignorant to just flat out retarded. While I am a HUGE Lady GaGa fan, I can admit when an artist has it’s down fallings and I never really care for the background work for things too much. True, she might flash too much of herself and true this song may never make the charts.
But what does either of those things have to do with her music?
Lady GaGa writes what she feels is best for her and she performs what she loves. It’s her job and she loves doing it. While a bunch of nobodies sit around and bash on her and call HER a nobody when she’s running out of copies to hand out… she’s doing what she loves and she’s on top of the world doing it. She actually is one of the few original people left in the industry and hard to deny that without at least thinking about it. True, her inspiration inspires her and she always admits when something already done influences her work rather than just taking it and making it hers. Alejandro was credited to be inspired by two songs and she went out of her way to promote that!
I hate to sound so worked up… but give the woman a break. Jesus, really. She works her f****** ass off to please her fans and only her fans and she actually inputs in on everything she does and yet she still carries a strong anti-fan base.
I love how everyone’s always all “LAWL RIHANNA/CHRISTINA/BEYONCE/GAGA/KELLY FLOP FLOP FLOP!!!” and yet they garner far more attention and sales than the “everyone” could. Try to sell 10 of your profession right now. When the world over. See how much of a flop you actually are.

Gratsi! Though, to be honest, me being a GaGa fan has nothing to do what I said. I LOVE GaGa but I’m not a fan to the point over over obsession. I love her voice and her music and I do know little tid bits and fandom things about her and I do run to whatever source is playing her next video… but I’m not going to sit here and lie and say I’m her biggest fan. I own her cd’s (one of the very VERY few people I do) and go so far back to her NY rocker edge songs before Just Dance (which was a song I actually HATED when I first heard) but I don’t care too much for the fashion. I don’t care what she’s wearing, who she’s wearing or any of that stuff. I just want to hear her music and see what she’s doing next. The more of her life I have crammed down my throat the less I like. I didn’t click on the past few posts of GaGa on this site because well… I don’t care about that crap. Just give me the music. And if I don’t like it then I won’t listen.
I’m not a fan of Rihanna and I could care less for Beyonce personally… but I listen to them if I like them. I have Bey’s CDs and yet claim myself as a Kelly and Michelle fan. I listen to Christina even though Lady GaGa is my heart and all these other people are crammed up in my iTunes. Great comments, you said it exactly like I feel. I am a big fan, but not a ‘little monster’. Like you its the music I love – I do also find her a very interesting and entertaining character. As far as the clothes I’m not the least bit interested in which designer’s done what as I spend most of my life in jeans and t-shirts. If she wants to strip off for her performances so what – she was doing that way before she was famous, plus I admire the confidence she has to be able to do it. She’s not one of the world’s great beauties – but just a normal attractive girl – gives some of us others hope 🙂

Sorry, but I don’t know anybody who KNOWS real music, I don’t for sure – musical tastes are just way too different. People were saying she’s only going to be around for a few months back in 2008 – her tour is already extended into 2011 and you try get decent tickets for it, no hope. So that’ll take her 15 minutes of fame to 3 years minimum. Her album is still in the UK top 5 after 76 weeks and #15 on Billboard after 86 weeks. A lot of people think her music is cr*p, a lot think its fantastic – just the ways things are – but I bet you one thing for sure she ain’t going away any time soon.
