Okay, so here’s my two cents on the situation: I honestly believe that the concept of the video was whack. Instead of choosing to drag the “Love All Over Me” video all over again, this would have been the perfect opportunity for Monica and her team to drop “Here I Am” as the 3rd single and a video response to “Love All Over Me.” “Here I Am’s” concept would’ve been much more cinematic and gelled well with the fan picked ending of “Love All Over Me”, as it talks about leaving your significant other who isn’t treating you right for another man who wants to give attention; hence, you’re presenting your all in a new relationship and saying “Here I am if you want to love me…” It’s sad to say that Monica is still on her 2nd single, as she has multiple radio friendly joints that can keep her audiences happy while she’s away on tour with Trey Songz. Whatever happened to filming videos before your album drops? There’s no grind in the industry any longer; I remember there was a time you couldn’t get people to stop releasing videos (Ashanti’s first album, Beyonce’s first album, Kayne’s first and second album, hell, even Britney Spears fed her fans videos out the ass). However, because of the creative restrictions and polictical guidelines of the music industry, I assume not everyone is up for the grind and has the same mind frame.
Beyonce Slayer ? King your Crazy. Monica is great but she is no Beyonce Slayer . monica has a strong voice . but in my Opinion Beyonce Voice is Much stronger and clearer then Monica’s. there is room for everyone in the music industry.

i’m pretty sure monica is busting her behind and trying to get as much out of this album as she possibly can. but the reality is it’s not the 90s anymore. album sales are way down and labels are far more reluctant to pay for videos, especially now that tvs don’t even play videos anymore. it’s definitely not monica’s “laziness”.
i say monica is doing pretty damn good. she’s already gone gold, and “love all over me” is still climbing the charts. she can probably squeeze another single or two off this album, which can push her past platinum.

Yes, that made the video go with the song! I’m so happy that Shannon won. I wasn’t feeling the video when it had the whole torn between two lovers vibe because the song is so direct and I felt like that concept took away from the message of the song. But now that she has chosen the new love, it completely fits. Love it now, go Monica.
