Keri Hilson is back with a fresh look and new material. ‘Breaking Point’ serves as the 1st official single from her upcoming album, ‘No Boys Allowed’ (in stores later this year). The track was written by Hilson and was produced by her mentor, Timbaland. Give the song a listen below:
Exactly when did Hilson learn to sing like that? For a second I had to double check the name on the track to make sure that I wasn’t mistaken. It seems that Hilson has been spending some serious time with a vocal coach because she was hitting notes that she normally needs to the aid of auto-tune and thick vocal layering to achieve.
This is a solid R&B record with the kind of arrangement and production that is expected from a producer of Timbaland’s caliber. Still…when exactly did Hilson learn to sing like that? She needs to slide the number of her vocal coach over to Rihanna’s croaking behind as soon as possible!

I guess she felt it was her place, because she wrote hit for them…still doesn’t give her a right.
