Here is a new song from Mary J. Blige. The track, entitled ‘Breakup To Makeup’, is said to be from recent recording sessions for a new album. Give it a listen below:

Although this is a nice song, it lacked the passion and energy to which I am accustomed to hearing from Blige. It seems that since her ‘The Breakthrough’ LP Blige has continued to get more commercial and has lost touch with what made her famous in the 1st place – gritty and raw Hip-Hop/Soul.

Blige’s music is good but quite frankly it’s boring. She needs to take it back to the streets.
