New Song: Ciara – ‘Shut Em Up’

Published: Thursday 30th Sep 2010 by Sam

Audio fire!

With it’s hard-hitting, tribal-inspired production, ‘Shut Em Up’ sees Ciara in familiar club-destined territory. However, where the track truly succeeds is in its unveiled lyrical directness. Ms. Harris’ addressing of the much cited suggestion that she went “Hollywood”, among other critiques, garnishes – what quite easily could be just another club cut – with a layer of honesty and authenticity. If it’s the “true” Ciara fans have been awaiting, here she is. Great track.
