Oh Ms. Fenty! Must the good always arrive hand-in-hand with the bad? For, there’s no doubt ‘Only Girl’ packs quite the punch. Indeed, with its pulsating bassline and memorable melody, the song looks set to be both a club and radio hit. However, one cannot ignore the striking similarities to the model’s three year old chart-topper ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’. I’m mean there’s borrowing a successful sound, and then there’s rehashing it – the latter of which ‘Only Girl’ does quite shamelessly and not as well either.
What’s more, why didn’t the 22 year old’s nose get a feature credit? Them Bajan nostrils sang the whole damn song.
