It’s little wonder why Christina Aguilera has dropped ‘Bionic’ like a rock. Besides the album’s appalling sales, it has been revealed that the singer takes centre-stage on the soundtrack for her new movie ‘Burlesque’. Though pretty much a given, considering the 29 year old’s starring role in the film, the set’s soundtrack is shaping up to be an all-Aguilera affair.

As said many a time (yet never enough), Christina is going to need to this movie and its soundtrack to catch on, if her career is to get the resuscitation it so desperately needs.
That said, it does get me thinking; had ‘Bionic’ blown up as intended, how would Xtina have juggled promoting and pushing two entirely different sounds and images (see: “futuristic” vs Old School). Throw in the fact that she was also set to tour inbetween as well, it certainly looks like Ms. Aguilera needs to get her team and timing in order. Perhaps they should study the Beyonce model of synchronising all you’re promoting (album, movie, tour, endorsements etc) all during the same release window. Just a thought, ay…

Bionic didn’t flop as bad as Kylie or Miley’s new albums, and Teenage Dream only sold like 100k more than Bionic. Sales are just down right now, Okay?.
Bionic is a HOT album, its gotten better over the time I’ve been listening to it. If you are reading this and you have dismissed Bionic, try giving it another spin and forget about all the s*** online. Its actually a good album with fun up-tempo songs and some of the best Ballads of the year.
And to anyone who has watched that DISS LIST video, half of the things in that video ARE FAKE.
