her remix is bland/boring/snoozefest/no WOW factor. I wanted to give kudos to those jokes about how good it was and her improving ‘VOCALS’, but I felt that was shady. (o: anywho…is it a bad mix? not at all…it’s just nothing impressive and standard ciara. womp.
Her voice has always sounded like this to me. To me, it has never been apparent before because a lot of her music is over-shadowed due to heavy mastering, or beats, while the production on this song is very raw.
A lot of people sleep on Ciara’s vocal ability. She gets less credit than what she deserves. I’m not saying she’s a vocal powerhouse, but she has a beautiful, soulful, smooth, and melodic falsetto voice.
She killed this remix and def repped for the ladies, from a female’s perspective.

It’s because she has such an airy, annoying, squeaky voice, and the producer/music engineer fixed the hell out of her voice using pitch correction! This version is so weak and annoying. She’s trying way too hard and the melodies don’t go with the beat and are annoying. She needs to stop trying to act like she can sing because she makes a fool out of herself. I hate that baby, high, young girl voice she got going on. Just because some people may like that soft, baby voice, doesn’t mean she can sing, it just means they like her tone. That’s what she is, all tone and horrible vocals. Learn the difference between tone and vocals. Artists like Cassie, Janet, and Britney Spears use this gimmick technique. BTW THOSE LYRICS ARE PATHETIC! If she wrote them, she’s a terrible songwriter.
