Simple, yet potently effective.
The subtle additions to the re-recorded version song (see: new adlibs, high notes, and choir in final chorus) really lace Burke’s delivery with a fresh layer of emotion and conviction. Absolute winner of a track.
‘The Silence’ features on the re-release of Burke’s Platinum selling debut ‘Overcome’, due in stores November 29th.

Dangnabbit!!!! This means she’ll have a choir on the X factor and for some reason they love doing that on that show and it will detract from her performance because she truly has an amazing voice!

I thought that was a great video. Simple but elegant and beautiful. A lot of these US divas should take notes. I can’t wait until she goes international.
I do not like the re-recorded version. The inclusion of the choir just ruined the song for me…it’s not a damn church or inspirational song so why include a freaking choir?
