For the better part of a year, R&B stars Keri Hilson and Ciara have been billed as arch-rivals. However, any ill-feeling seems to have been left in the past, as the Atlanta-bred performers took to Ustream last night in a showing of solidarity.

It’s great to see the ladies put the drama behind them. However, they’d cast themselves in a much better light if they weren’t trying to off-set the notion of there ever being ‘beef’ onto others (see: bloggers, media at large). For, the subliminal shade they’ve been throwing each other since Keri’s ill-advised ‘Turnin Me On (Remix) surfaced has been well-documented. Why, then, say it’s the media, now that you’re back on good terms?
Call it what you want, but it is particularly irritating when artists do that. You had an issue, you settled it, the end. It is not at all ‘cute’ to sit and blame others. We root for both ladies, but it just needs to be said…
