The implementation of live instruments certainly sounds like a step in the right direction for Bouncy. Beyond longing for a more ‘inspired’ output from her, I’ve long preferred the live versions of next to all of her songs over the recordings (particularly the likes of ‘Crazy In Love’ and ‘Single Ladies’). Something about the funkier/jazzed-up instrumentation and the added runs, always get me.
