Re-surging star Brandy features in the latest issue of Upscale magazine. As well as snagging a classy photoshoot with the Grammy winner, the publication also secured what has to be her most in-depth interview to date.
Candid, and at points emotional, the 31 year old recounted her early career success, motherhood, her hit VH1 show ‘A Family Business’, her current stint on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and what to expect from her new studio album (due next year).
Most piercing, however, was her revelations about the taunting she, even as of today, still receives regarding the fatal car accident, she was involved in back in 2007.
Her comment after the jump…
“People call me a murderer, they taunt me and send pictures of cars that are basically annihilated. Every report has stated that I was not at fault. People still don’t care”
Wow. For Ms. Norwood to still hold her head up, smile, and keep doing her amidst on-going strife, she earns that much more of my (and many others’) respect. More power to her.
In other Brandy news, hitmaker Bangladesh has opened up about the sound he is cultivating for the singer’s eagerly awaited new album. The producer, most notable for his work with Beyonce (‘Diva’) and Lil’ Wayne (‘A Milli’), appears to have a heavy hand in the direction of the LP. Click here to see what he said.
