Christina Aguilera has confirmed that she is currently in the studio working on a new album. The singer revealed that she has been inspired by her new film, ‘Burlesque’, and that she is a “changed woman”. Check out what she had to say below:
“Ohhh, a new album is definitely in the works, because after coming off of Burlesque, I left that movie becoming a completely and totally changed woman, having learned so much and grown so much. I really grew wings on that movie I didn’t know I had prior and I am in a very introspective time in my life right now, getting ready to turn the big 3-0 this year, at the end of the year, on December 18th, yeah! I am very, very excited about that.
Yeah, I am really looking forward to the next chapter in my life and really putting the new person I’ve become on record.” {Source}
Here’s hoping that things work out for Aguilera. She has the potential and she just has to tap into it.
cant wait
This sounds good, and I wish the best for her.
But this is the SAME SONG she was singing before the last album came out…
Let’s hope she SINGS on this new album like she did on Bound to You. Not screech, strain, riff the song to death, gag, throw up, burp, vocally m*********, just sing the damn songs.
definately lookin fwd to it!
love xtina…Goo see burlesque in theatres NOvember 24th!
Hopefully this one is alot better than Bionic.
@Chimier
LMAO! Exactly! I hope it’s more like her ballads on Bionic. She sang those exceptionally well. Live? Umm….yea
I hope this album makes up for the hot, steaming mess that was Bionic.
And I’m proud of you Trent. You didn’t mention Mariah at all. 🙂
@True Blue
I honestly don’t think Bionic was bad. The ballads were some of her best and I really like most of the tracks like “Elastic Love” and “Bionic”, but it was mostly the ballads that sold me.
Hmmmmmm. we will see Chrissy……….. Good luck.
@ The Kiddz:
Bionic had its moments (Glam, My Girls, Prima Donna, You Lost Me) but the bad FAR outweighed the good if you ask me. You can’t have 18 songs on an album and have only a few of them be good. That still makes it a bad album to me.
Weird that I’m a bigger Christina fan than you are, yet you like Bionic way more than I did, lol.
lmao she needs all the luck she can get. sorry xtina your time is over. sure you’re a part of pop music history but youre irrelevant to today’s stars honey
@True Blue
Lol! I have all her albums and I love her voice, I’m just not a fan of her technique. Stripped is still my favorite, with Bionic being runner-up. On this album she didn’t belt too high and she didn’t even use her “whistle”. She showed restraint, which is all I’ve been asking for.
Haha. She’s always saying she’s a different person. Christina releases an album every four years and she’s only releasing another much sooner because of Bionic. Can’t say I blame her.
Good luck with everything.

@ TheKiddz:
Agreed about her technique. She has a great voice, but she abuses it with her manner of singing. Hopefully she will tone it down when she goes on tour as well.
I think if she stops trying to make concept-themed albums she would be ok. “Stripped” was her best album and the only concept on that album was to try a little bit of everything. Her debut album was made without her control over the project and the album was successful because it was pop/little mix of everything. If she goes back to Stipped or being led by a variety of producers she would be ok. Her last album before Bionic and Bionic were too left field for an artist that is trying to be commercially successful. Sometimes trying a little bit of everything pop/r&b works when you record with hot producers. Since she is not Britney or Rihanna she needs to do that to be successful since artists that have vocal skills are put under higher pressure to showcase their vocals yet have a hot track out at the same time.
I strongly think that on the next album she won’t be doing the “screaming”. In the Burlesque soundtrack, & a snippet of a song (Castle Walls) she uses her voice the way it’s supposed to be used.
Bionic wasn’t THAT bad, apart from Bobblehead (even though i find the song funny, it’s not really Xtina material) & I Hate Boys, i actually liked the album. The Ballads were LEGEND.
Wish her the best!
LOL @ me putting “iLikeXtina”. I didn’t even realize.
This ho @CHIMIER ….. Well whatever screaming she did got her this far, no sense in stopping now 😀 . Can’t wait for the next album.
yay! whatever the outcome, the album is gonna be good like all her albums and Trentina is gonna talk shht about her.
Goodness! Another album? It will just flop like her last. Take a break woman! She’s just so tired as of late with her stale music.
XTINA WILL BE AMAZING AS USUAL CUZZ SHE IS THE BEST VOICE OF MUSIC INDUSTRY!!! HER MUSIC IS A REINVENTION!!! SHE IS THE BEST CREATING NEW TRACKS EXPECTING TO BE XTINAS BIGGES COMEBACK!! IM READY FOR HER NEXT ALMBUM YES YES YES:)
CH>> JUST SHUT YOUR MOTHER F***** DISGUSTING MOTH..NEGGAR.
XTINA IS A PRODIGYCAL DOUTHER OF POP MUSIC!! SHE IS INCREDEBLE , AN ICON. NO ONE CAN DO WHAT SHE CAN WITH HER AMAZING VOICE:)
Irrelevant b****, nobody cares about her!!!!!
She will FLOP again !!!!!!!
LMAO at her being “inspired” once again, but now with her movie, before her son inspired her lol b*******
i can’t wait i love xtina *plays elastic love*
“I’ve learned so much from the movie, and im just a whole a new person”
TRANSLATION: “Bionic flopped, now im desperate to keep myself relevant”
Atleast she still has her voice unlike Mariah, and Bionic didn’t flop as bad as Merry Floppus II Me I meant Merry Christmas II you
“But this is the SAME SONG she was singing before the last album came out…”
right.
We’ll see
I think she’s abusing the trust of her audience to talk of being a changed woman so recently after claiming herself to be that disgusting and desperate display that was used to launch Bionic. If she can focus on truly being herself and without trying on the popular gimmicks that are working for other artists, I’m willing to listen and give her another shot.
