It looks like Ciara is finally getting the wheels turning on her ‘Basic Instinct’ promotional wagon. The high energy entertainer sat down with MTV’s ‘The Seven’ to discuss the the album’s latest single, ‘Gimme Dat’, and even spoke about her fitness plan. While it is good to see Ciara finally getting to work on this album’s promotion, it would be even better to see her actually perform some of her singles live (other than in clubs). December 14th is not that far away and without any top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 to generate buzz for the LP she is going to need to put more effort into building public interest.
Nelly waited until the week of his ‘Nelly 5.0’ album’s release before he started doing major promotion and, despite having a major hit with ‘Just A Dream’, he is only predicted to sell 60k. It would be a shame if Ciara met the same fate.
After seeing Rihanna – an arguably bigger artist – only managing to accumulate 180k-190k with the assistance of a massive media blitz weeks in advance and 2 international hits the question arises: what is going to happen to Ciara?
