All jokes aside. No, really. I’m starting to believe Ms. Fenty is delivering these performances on purpose. For, never have I seen an act so hell bent on singing so out of tune nor have the stage presence of a loaf of bread.
Still, one look at the top of the Billboard chart and the story unravels itself. Why pay any attention to your craft when you can sound like a microwaved cat, with no discernible stage presence, and yet still be somewhat successful.
Then again, as the industry has taught us many a time, Ms. Fenty’s form of success is the fickeslest of its kind. Put simply, should she remain as wack as she is, there’s only so long the public at large can be possessed to overlook it.
