Hard at work on her third studio album, Kelly Rowland appears to be making a number of power moves to elevate her status.

The 29 year old, who recently confirmed that she has just two recording sessions left before wrapping the record, has re-teamed with noted industry figure Kim Burse.
Burse, as some of you may know, has and continues to serve as the Creative Director for all of Beyonce‘s tours and performances and worked extensively with Destiny’s Child right up until their ‘Destiny’s Fulfilled’ project.
This latest step comes on the heels of Rowland re-recording the bulk of her album – this go round hitting the studio with even more of the industry’s finest including Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, Tricky Stewart & The Dream, Ester Dean, Jermaine Dupri, and Bryan Michael Cox.
Kelly’s as yet untitled LP hits stores next year. In the meanwhile, peep Burse’s show-reel below..

Kudos to whoever is making all these greats calls, be it Kelly, the label or new manager Devyne Stephens. For, it was only the other day yours truly was thinking about the world of difference figures such as Burse can have for an artist. Indeed, having actual talent and making great material (which Kelly does) is such a small part of the equation in today’s visual era. Essential now in performances are the wind-machines, lighting, choreography, echo mics, and story-telling themes. All things Ms. Kelly could, would, and should be dabbling with to up her ‘diva’; and ultimately enhance what admittedly has at times been quite bare and lacking performances on her part in the past.
This all has me salivating for her new project and performances that much more! Can’t wait for the “first” single 😉

I wish her the best. I just think that if she wants to establish herself and step out of Beyonce’s shadow, then she need to find her own path. Kelly don’t have to resort to using the same people that have aided in making Beyonce’s tours and shows the success is. There’s plenty of talent elsewhere, Beyonce’s staff aren’t the only options. I don’t understand why she even wanted to seperate from the Knolwes(Mathew) camp to begin with, she insist on keeping an eye on every move Bey makes to imitate it. Well I hope working with Bey’s songwriters and creative director’s work for her and create something new so there aren’t any comparisons. If I were her and Bey was going right, I’d go left. Actually the only thing this probably may help put to rest is the talk of all the unfair treatment Kelly gets. If it’s identical and she flops, then what?

Great news for Kelly! Her performance @ Starfest was one of her best performances I’ve seen of her! She just has to push & try a bit harder! She will eventually get it! People wanna see her succeed! She & her management hold the key to her success.

ok, kim worked with DC. Kelly was 1/3 of DC just like the other two. Why are people saying she needs to find “new people”?? give it a rest. I want the best on my stuff, and someone I know and trust. I think some of you all use HORRIBLE logic.
But anyway, that production lineup has me salivating! I think the album will be great.
In the meantime, Kelly can continue to perform to sold out crowds in the UK because that IS where the money is. Those songs are hits and no one can take that from her. Can’t wait for her to get some impact in the US. She did have a nice buzz around “Like This” from her last album but it fell off from there. I think she could kill it in the urban arena and cross over. That is what Destiny’s Child always did and she’s been there since the beginning.

Some one is wrong… Kim Burse is Beyonce’s Music Director on the creative side and Frank Gatson Is the creative director/Choreographer for Beyonce’s entire project… And I know frank gatson is the creative director for Kelly right now too and Kim Burse is the music director for Kelly’s new project… Get it right Grapejuice…… Frank Gatson Has directed all of Beyonce’s Tours and The last 2 Destiny’s Child Tour… Everyone should go read the credits on all DVD’s and you will see… But I know Frank and Kim together will make the kelly project better.. It’s funny how people forget how many flops Beyonce had before the crazy in love. And if it wasn’t for Irreplaceable she would have flopped too. It’s a shame when singers have to be naked in order to sell records.

Not sure why there are so many Kelly haters out there. I love both Kelly and Beyonce, but am excited to see my beautiful brown-skinned sister step into the spotlight, even if she shines brightest over in Europe.
My prediction is that the dance album for the European market that’s coming out later this year will be a hit, but the RnB album for the US market won’t get much play or props (much like folks slept on Ms. Kelly back in 2007). Personally, the new sound of Commander and Forever & A Day are what I’m loving, so I’ll be buying the European album as soon as it drops.
All the haters can keep hating, but it’ll only reflect their ignorance because topping the hip hop charts isn’t the only measure of a star. Kelly is already a star on the dance charts, has established herself as a fashionista, and is one of the most beautiful women in music pop culture (just ask Kanye).
My prayer for Kelly is that she not give a good god-d**n what the ghetto haters have to say about her transition to dance music (including Nelly). She won’t need to do RnB at all if she continues on the dance track … her long-time fans in the US, and her fans in Europe (not to mention the gays) will certainly keep her pockets full.
