New Song: Keyshia Cole – ‘Last Hangover (Ft. Timbaland)’

Published: Friday 17th Dec 2010 by Trent

A new song from Keyshia Cole surfaced today. ‘Last Hangover’ features Timbaland and will appear on her new album, ‘Calling All Hearts’ (in stores on December 21st). Give track a listen below:

There is definitely a disconnect between the production of this song and Cole’s delivery. While it is a respectable effort, the tone of Cole’s voice and the vocal arrangement simply fail to impress. In fact, the Timbaland’s beats actually outshine her.

It seems that Timbaland was attempting to fuse his signature Hip-Hop/Dance sound with Cole R&B-based approach in the way he did with Aaliyah but the she simply lacks the range to make that work. This isn’t in any way comparable to the genius of ‘We Need A Resolution’.

Props to Hip-Hop N More.

This song is hot, don’t know what you talking about homie.

And what’s the purpose of comparing this track to ‘We Need A Resolution’? Two entirely different songs.

It’s an okay song. Nothing special about it but it’s not a bad song either. I think Timbaland has lost his touch he had back in the day.

I LIKE IT, BUT I FEEL LIKE ITS MISSING SOMETHING…

  17. MrIncredible December 17, 2010

I like it, I don’t love it… but it does sounds like a failed attempt at recreating “We Need A Resolution” Something tells me if Aaliyah’s voice was on this it would’ve been fire. I wish someone with a less gritty voice was on this. I’m sure it would have turned out better.

I liked it a lot. I didn’t hear anything that reminded me of ‘we need a resolution’ and even if
I had, so what, the song is good.

See Trent u dont always know what the hell u talking about.

U try to influence ppl but it didnt work this time.

It works alot with Ciara i notice.

If u write sumthing good most ppl will do the same

If u write sumthing bad most ppl will do they same.

Do u even notice the influence u have on ppl???

I like it! And as a huge Aaliyah fan, this is nothing like “We Need a Resolution.” Completely different type of song.
