Jennifer Hudson is ready to release her long-awaited sophomore album. ‘I Remember Me’ follows her Grammy Award-winning debut LP, ‘Jennifer Hudson’, and will hit stores on March 22nd.
The 1st single from the project, ‘Where You At’, was written and produced by R. Kelly and is expected to premiere on radio on January 24th. Other contributors to the album include Ryan Tedder, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Rich Harrison, Ne-Yo and Stargate.

I was hoping she was doing a remix of one of my favorite songs by Nina Simone, “Feeling Good”! And that it would be her 1st single. She sings a bit of it in her Weight Watchers commercial. I hope she includes that song on her CD. She really would do that song justice.
I’m not a fan but I do wish her well. She is one of the only true young female singing talents in the industry today. I’m sure she will do fine. The contemporary market loves her so she should sell.

She always sings everything the same. Where are her layers? I just need for someone to vocally do something that is more interesting with this woman. She’s still singing like Effie. She probably sound like she’s in church singing the alphabets to her son at night. I just want her to scale it down, play with her vocals more, change the texture a little bit and even try finding more of a connection with her music. Spotlight was perfect because she wasn’t determine to out sing anyone, she made you listen to a story in that song. I haven’t felt that she cared about what she was singing in too much of her music, instead she wants to prove how great her voice is. It is powerful, but she needs to work on having more depth to her.

Completely underwhelming and as others said, BORRRRRING!!!! This aint a hit not even on the rnb charts. Typical adult AC s***. Ever since Jhud moved from J records to Arista she’s become a boring non-innovative artist it seems. She wanted to move to Arista cuz whitney is there. Her first LP sold 650k in the US. I bet this cd sells less. Just doesnt have the spunk, edge or urban rnb hits like the first album. Larry Jackson was attached to this project then he was removed and fired from Arista. According to his last tweet sounded like creative differences with Clive’s boss at sony. Now we have a boring a/c album, yaaawn. Maybe they think the road for Jhud is to tackle susan boyle’s market of senior citizens.
As for whitney comparison, jhud aint close. Whitney’s vocals at jhud’s age where several times better. Jhud sings the same boring way as usual. That gospel heavy thick vibratto, yelling of hers is annoying when it’s the same s*** track after track after track… just sayin.
Rumor has it whitney is starting on a new cd in June. If true, that appears to have more buzz than this jhud LP. Typical Arista, no promos or marketing to save money. Totally cheap ass for realz.
