This is ridiculous that you guys are arguing over two manufactured, superficial, untalented or not that talented music artists. Lady Gaga has good people around her knows what she’s doing. But to tell you the truth, I have a feeling there will be all of this hype, but the song won’t be that good. I agree that Britney only got the number 1 spot because her stans were so quick to buy such a generic single because of the hype of her “comeback.” I barely heard the radio stations play her song and it’s funny how it slipped 5 spots so quickly after only a week. Personally, I don’t care if she breaks every record that has ever been set in music in regards to sales, to me she sucks and always will. I liked Gaga when most people didn’t know who she was, and I never expected her to be this successful. And I’m happy that she’s accomplished so much, but at the end of the day it’s her talent and music that interests me, not her stats. Granted, I do want her to sell well, but it’s not the most important thing in an artist to me.

Gaga is perhaps the best sellin artist of the last few yrs. Shes sold 14 million from jusst one album. The Fame is the only album in the last few yrs 2sell 10million copies worldwide!! Not evven britneys or beyonces last albums hav sold 10 million ww. As for Born This Way, i thnk it will hav a HUGE 1st wk sales.. &since Gaga’s albums sell reely well in the long term, itll do great in the months after. Gaga has been working on this album for more than a year and I think in my opinion this is gonna be the best album of 2011. Just because Britney released one song and it hit the charts #1 for one week that’s nothing. When Bron This Way hits the charts prepare for a song that will last for weeks on the charts because Lady Gaga is the queen of pop! Also prepare for the Grammy’s because Lady Gaga is gonna show you what real music is!
I think Gaga did so well at first bc she was the new “it girl”. She’ll always have some fans but most people are sick of her and her huge ego. Britney’s been on top and relevant for the last 12 years because she’s humble and people like her. I still listen to Britney’s old CDs and I got sick of Gaga’s after a month.
