The highly anticipated 1st single from Britney Spears‘ new album has finally been released! ‘Hold It Against Me’ was crafted by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, and will appear on the Pop icon’s 7th studio LP later this year. Give it a listen below:
When Spears said that the final version of this track was even better than the demo she certainly wasn’t joking! The production boasts enough bass to rival even Ciara’s ‘Gimme Dat’ and will definitely give the song the push to dominate the clubs throughout 2011.
The only weakness in the record is Spears’ own voice. She has never been a powerhouse singer (not counting her youth where she was actually quite impressive) but she sounds almost timid on this track. Still, I doubt anyone will care given the hype surrounding this project and the hunger her fans have for her new music.
Beyonce and Lady GaGa have been warned.
