Katy Perry’s ‘E.T (Ft. Kanye West)’ continues to rocket to new heights this week as it maintains its dominance of the Billboard Hot 100. In fact, the momentum of the track is so strong that even the whips and chains of Rihanna’s ‘S&M‘ could not beat it into submission.
‘E.T’ remains at the #1 spot of the tally for a 2nd consecutive week. The record claimed the highest increases in both digital sales and radio airplay, selling 327k downloads and climbing 20% to 88 million audience impressions.
However, despite an unoriginal music video filled latex lingerie, Rihanna’s ‘S&M’ has far more bark than bite as the single is stuck in the #2 position once again. Still, the song climbs to #1 on the Radio Songs chart, giving her a record-setting 5th consecutive #1 on the lineup.
Further down the list, the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ leaps to from #5 to #3 and Cee-Lo Green’s ‘F*ck You (Forget You)’ slips to #4. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ continues to lose steam as it descends from #4 to #5.
The man of the hour, Chris Brown, is actually exceeding expectations as ‘Look at Me Now (Ft. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne)’ climbs to #6, outpacing Jeremih’s ‘Down on Me (Ft. 50 Cent)’ which advances from #9 to #7. Moreover, Jennifer Lopez’s ‘On the Floor (Ft. Pitbull)’ rebounds from #10 to #8 and P!nk’s’F*ckin’ Perfect’ slides to #9.
Finally, Adele, whose ’21’ has sold an outstanding 941k in just 6 weeks, scores her 1st top 10 single with ‘Rolling in the Deep’ which catapults from #17 to #10. It looks like she’ll soon be rolling in the deep with a platinum plaque.
