I wrote solange has never been a big seller and not as you assumed. Fact! Although solanges last album was good it was not a big seller. Jay Z is about money so I find it strange that he would sign her when she’s more of an indie artist. Girl, learn to read and hold your tongue.
I hope they allow her to continue to be herself and not try to change her style into that of a pop artist.. SHE has a style out of this world that should not be touched.. She might get decent exposure though

Anywho, I had NO idea she was signed to Roc Nation! I actually think Solange is really talented! She is a good songwriter and I really liked a couple songs from her last album.
Sadly, I just don’t think she will ever be a big star. I think so many people just see her as Bey’s lil sister and don’t take her seriously. I like her sytle but I don’t think it ‘s something that will appeal to a lot of people. Plus she ain’t walking around half naked singine a bunch of mediocre pop songs. It’s safe to say she got signed to Roc Nation cause Jay is her brother in law!
However, it music is her passion, then she can continue to make it. It’s not like she depends on it for money. *shrugs*

All of y’all sound stupid. That’s why the industry is so messed up nowadays. She found a hobbie, it’s fun for her, & it takes hard work & talent. It’s not about her “throwing her hands up.” She’s still working on music like her upcoming album as Sam stated, & she’s one of the most talented underrated artist of this generation. “Sol-Angel & the Hadley Street Dreams” is a classic & just about manures on everything put out last decade. I dislike “Defending” artist, but I don’t get how she through her hands up because she’s having fun & doing something on the “side.” On to relevant things, I didn’t know she signed to Roc Nation, I thought she wanted to be independent, & she was going to be more of a indie artist. I feel as though she’s not trying to be a big seller, but make quality music, so I must admit her choice to sign to Roc Nation is a bit weird. I thought by the feet of this pic though, that is was actually Mary J. Blige.
