It seems Lady GaGa‘s legion of loyal ‘monsters’ aren’t the only ones who believe in the controversial Pop sensation.
For, her record label Interscope have so much faith that her upcoming ‘Born This Way‘ LP will be a commercial success, they are shipping a whopping 2 million units to over 21 outlets across the US ahead of its first week on sale.
Full story after the jump…
Set for release on May 23rd, ‘Born’ will be GaGa’s third studio album and has already spawned #1 hits including its title track and ‘Edge Of Glory’. Starbucks, Guitar Center and Walgreens are amongst the many non-traditional outlets fans can purchase the LP from.
So as to actually live up to the huge sale expectation shipment births, Interscope have ensured the 25 year old will be at the opening of a door (everywhere!). Indeed, the singer’s promotional rounds will include a performance on the American Idol finale on May 26th and and will star on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
With the gargantuan experience that has been her promo run to date, it is no surprise that label executives have such high commercial hopes for ‘Born This Way’. If the LP lives up to its expectations, it is likely to become one of the highest selling releases of the last two years. {Source}
