Predictably, the Dev assisted cut boasts autotune in abundance and lyrics which sound like they were written by an 8 year old. Still, in all fairness, the group have never sold themselves as the sort who make “credible” music. Hence, I guess their output should be judged on the basis of what it is. Which, listening to this, sounds like a rip-off of at least 5 other songs this year.
Indeed, the production, melody, and delivery are distinctly Ke$ha; while the hook gives a nod to Britney‘s ‘Till The World Ends’. The “London to Jamaica / LA to Africa” is also copy and pasted from J.Lo‘s ‘On The Floor’.
We’re in 2011 and there is a space for fast food music. Yet, if Aston and co ever want to break out beyond the UK, they’ll need to start serving up Big Mac’s and not knock-offs from their local.
