Okay, honestly, this should NOT be a debate. Beyonce is on another level as far as talent than any other female pop artist since she released her solo album in 2003. When it comes to common blog debate or whatever, ok I get it. But in all honesty. Beyonce and Rihanna? Really? We’re talking about total opposites when it comes to talent. Beyonce is a superb vocalist/singer. Rihanna’s vocals are questioned way too often. Beyonce’s dancing is incredible. Rihanna’s dancing? What dancing? Beyonce’s performance abilities are beyond ANY arist within the last decade. Rihanna’s performance abilities are sometimes more questionble than her voice. Because at least she has a decent studio voice. Preference is something else, so I have no problem when people say they prefer Rihanna to Beyonce, but not debate their talents. Sorry.
All in all, a Rihanna/Katy Perry debate would be more fitting. Or something to that affect. But not Beyonce and Rihanna. It’s just not fair. You can spew all of the numbers all you want, but when it comes to talent? A lot of Bey fans are threatened by Rihanna success. #FACT Rihanna may not be the best “inset typical lacking claims here”, but she is still doing far better than most of her counterparts. Katy Perry has fun songs that go to #1 easily but she sings horribly live and doesn’t do any choreography. Britney dances but she lip syncs and Ke$ha’s ass doesn’t sing or dance at all.
Same thing with a lot of the other pop stars who are now famous. I have been following Beyonce since Destiny’s child NONONO. and damn near 20 years later, NO musical growth whatsoever. Now she’s actually competing with the likes of Gaga , Rihanna, Perry, and Hilson, Keys, Rowland and Adele. Who would have thought? The reason being that all of the women mentioned, their music has substance and consistency. You can only say that about one of Beys albums which is I am of course tracks 1-8! Dangerously in Love, 1-6 thought still elementary in content. This latest track, only a true stan will see the good in it. I on the other had see the whole thing as sad. But I will say this: With what happened with RTW, maybe Bey needs to have more mature lyrics. Plus Bey is 30, Girl Power songs aren’t going to come off as sincere as they would when she was 17-25.

Beyonce needed a group to catapult herself into the stratosphere, while rihanna came from the islands and had to build her fan base from scratch. Having a world wide smash hit at 19 being in forbes back in 2008 at 20-21 as one of the top earning young musicians. All of this on her own merit. And she is still on her grind. you all keep talking about them grammys beyonce won in one night, but it took her 13 years before that happened. Ok, I don’t know about the UK, my bad. At least ‘Sweet Dreams’ has more chart appeal than ‘Diva’ or ‘Video Phone’. I never said her singles flopped ;). But I hope you got what I said. That’s the reason why I think ‘Run The World’ is a horrible single choice (even though I like it). The song isn’t generic and it’s too messy. __@ queen bey I agree not because you are in a female group you will be successful, but many use those groups to get their name and recognition out there, like both beyonce and Nicole. Without those groups, they would not even be known. Destiny’s child was a very powerful and popular girl group that had immense success, way more than the p**** cat dolls. I bet kelly and Michelle wanted to continue with the group, because they were still going strong, but Beyonce had another agenda. SHe wanted to be a star, so she just used them to build that momentum, because she didn’t have the confidence or conviction that she could have break out there as a solo artist on her own back then. She waited till her popularity was at an all time high to do it. Its clear she was pushed as the front runner in the group and all other competitors were quickly let go or relegated to playing the back position. The same thing happened with Nicole s, she dumped the group and set off on her own when she thought she was the most popular of the group. The only difference is that Beyonce was more successful at hers, and Nicole is still trying to make some waves. No surpise here since destiny’s child was a better group with a list of more successful hits. And to answer your question why is kelly and michelle not up to the same standard, duh do you even have to ask. They were both being managed by Daddy knowles, who made sure they weren’t successful while his queen bey was on the rise.
