As if a performance slot on this Sunday’s 11th annual BET Awards isn’t enough to celebrate, Kelly Rowland‘s urban smash ‘Motivation’ has notched its 5th week at #1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B chart. Ms. Rowland was sure to tweet the fans a personal thanks yesterday for the accomplishment.
Though the song slipped down one position from last week’s #23 on the Hot 100, it is worth mentioning that it has spent half of its 10-week chartlife perched atop the R&B chart. Catch ‘Motivation’ get its first live performance treatment Sunday, June 26th at the BET Awards.

I hate every single Beyonce fan I swear I do. Beyonce is very talented, she’s a great singer, writer and performer and so is Kelly, but this time around, people are checking for Kelly, not Beyonce. Bey has released 3 songs and none of them performed well. Motivation peaked at #20 on the Hot 100 and has spent 5 weeks at #1 on the R&B charts and had decent success overseas. I honestly want all the members of DC to have solo success, not just Beyonce, but her fans are used to her being the center of attention, that when something doesn’t go well for her, they bring down the other females who are doing well, but it’s not Beyonce’s fault, it’s her fans. As many fans as Beyonce has, and Run the World or Best Thing I Never Had have yet to perform well on any chart or get any certification and 1+1 didn’t really cause a serious buzz for her album. So Beyonce fans remember, it’s ya’ll who caused Beyonce singles to flop, so bring down Kelly, Ciara, Rihanna, Katy, Britney, Gaga, Alicia, Keri, Adele or Ke$ha because aren’t doing ya’ll part.

4 is not flopping at all. After being released only yesterday, 5 of the 7 countries where the album was released is #1 on the overall top 10 album charts (not R&B). That is not called flopping.
